Below where your profile is created there is a section listed as links.
What information do you place in these boxes?
For example...under Facebook.
The URL for your public profile on whatever site
I generally only post on Twitter and Pintrest. As Eric said, I don't use Pintrest very much either. But when I post to Twitter, when people click on the link it takes them to my article on Hubpages.
Does this mean I should have my work posted there also...like my articles?
You can post the link to your articles and maybe the summary, but there's no point posting the whole article - you won't get the traffic here... and you need it to get paid.
I'm not on FB anymore but if you post the link to your status, it'll bring up the first pic and a bit of the intro.
Thank you. I will try to find my url for my social media sites. I am in a few writing groups on facebook maybe I can link to those.
I post links to my Twitter and Pinterest Page. I am not too active on Pinterest much but I use Twitter often. I also have a link to my own website.
Thank you for responding.
Does your link to Twitter automatically post your article to Twitter?
I post my articles myself. I get a good picture from my hub and post a little about it. I also use any relevant hash tags I can find or think about.
I post Twitter, Pinterest, and once in awhile FB.
Thank you. I have been trying to figure out how to connect them together.
Placing it there myself might be easier.

If we pump up our use of social media, i.e., marketing our articles more, will it help increase our traffic much? Or won't it make much difference because we are more dependent upon organic traffic? Something tells me we might have to wait out this drought. What say you?

Do you have an external blog that you link to your hubs? Do you write articles for an online magazine? And is it recommended to specialise in one or two areas - and connect a blog to these hub topics?I receive bursts of traffic when I promote my hubs on social media but I am looking into other ways...

A few years back when I did Examiner.com, the writers were always talking about where is the best places to promote our work. I feel like once you use all your social media accounts, hit up any forums related to your topic, reddit, and network with people you know, you're really out of places...
