Hi everyone!
I'd like to receive some of your thoughts and opinions on an article that I just recently published. It's been receiving quite a high amount of traffic since the first day I published it (unlike many of my other articles), so I'd like to know what it was that I did right with this article and how I can keep doing this for future articles.
This article was also selected to be moved to DenGarden almost as soon as I published it, without me having to submit it there, so I'd like to know what helps to influence these decisions.
I'm also open to criticism about my article because even though it's been getting some traffic, it's definitely not a very impressive amount and there are articles that get many more daily views.
Please let me know what you think and also what I can do to improve this article and to continue publishing high-quality articles.
Here's the article:

Thanks!
Good evening miss Janisachatte. You need to work on your grammar and punctuation. I like your article. It is good. I love to grow things too. Sometimes, it works for me. When, the temperature is too hot it does not grow. What ever, I am growing. Miami has a hot temperature most of the time. You need to read the hub pages learning center. You will know the rules to pass your article.
Hi, thanks for the feedback!
I definitely need to go over my articles to improve the grammar and the layouts of them.
I definitely prefer to garden in hotter regions since my plants grow better.
I don't have problems with getting my articles featured, but traffic is still an issue for me
I think you are getting traffic because you have written about a popular subject. I know of many people who have started growing vegetables for the first time during lockdown. Your timing of this article is good.
Your readership is broad because you have tackled the topic in an appealing way. You have shown that money and a lot of space are not necessities.
At a time when money might be tight, you have written about a money-saving idea.
Your article is well-structured. There's a handy index/list near the top that you work through.
It's well-written and well-illustrated so that you engage with readers and keep their attention.
One thing I would add is a final text capsule to summarise and draw it all together neatly at the end.
It's a great article, deserving of traffic and of a move to the niche site. Well done.
Hi Jasina, I agreed with eurofile. In addition, add some references as to how you source the informations in your article. Dangarden is a niche site. Thank you.
The majority of the information I shared came from my previous experience and the things I learned from my grandmother.
Thanks for the comment
Janisa, it does not mattered if the information came from your background. Two or more references will authenticated the practical experience. But you can choice to ignore this. Thanks.
Thank you for your detailed feedback!
I haven't written about gardening here before because I wasn't sure if there would be enough interest in the topic. However, now that this first article was quite successful, I'm planning to write some more related posts.
Now that you mentioned it, a conclusion would be a good addition to the post. Thanks!
The article looks great. Congratulations on the traffic. Sometimes the HP editors will notice an article when it goes through the AP and move it immediately to a niche site. When Google looked at it, they probably gave you a great position right away and if people that search do not bounce out of it the article will stay there. (I have only had this happen a few times in all the time I have been here, so kudos on that!)
Congratulations again.
Thanks so much for your comment!
This is only the second time this has happened to me on HubPages, so I'm really excited!!
Your article is well written and attractive, as others have said. I like Eurofile's idea of adding some type of conclusion at the end.
I think it would provide authenticity and perhaps improve your traffic if you added your own photos of the individual food items. I realize that you may not have all them growing in your home at the moment, but when you do, I think you should replace the photos in the article. I saw a 2014 page on one website (Imgur) that had all of the photos that you include in your article (except for the first one). The photos are also found on other sites. Using your own photographs would add originality to the article.
I've read quite a lot of articles suggesting that people grow food from scraps during the coronavirus situation. It seems to be a popular topic at the moment. Your article is useful, but I think you need to make it unique in as many ways as possible (without losing the usefulness). If you went beyond what many other articles about the topic have included, you might get more traffic.
I agreed with Linda. As a high profile writer, her advise is great. Follow them wholly.
Hi,
Thanks for the comment. I'll definitely add a conclusion to the article soon.
I have a few of these growing at home right now, but I find it hard to take high-quality photos as this isn't one of my strengths, but I'll add some soon. Thank you for the tip
I'm planning to write more articles on the topic soon to see how it goes

Hi Hubbers,This article has not passed QAP. Though it has a higher score than my previous articles. I have had no input as to why it hasn't passed, I've proofread it and the grammar is spot on, photos are available for reuse or my own.. So WTF is wrong?!!I'd like some help with passing the Quality...
