Good evening all and thank you in advance for reading. I submitted one of my articles for SkyAboveUs before Christmas (a month and a half ago), however, it is still “pending for review”. They usually accept or reject quite quickly, so the last couple of weeks, I did try to edit the article slightly to see if this would make the process go faster.

Can anyone advice what the best course of action from here would be, please? As I would like the opportunity for it to be featured on their website if it was good enough, and if not, to improve and submit again.

    Thanks very much in advance!

Try contacting the HP editors and ask them what the holdup is: http://hubpages.com/contact_us/

This may not be the correct address for your needs, but it's a start. I'm sure someone else can lead you in the right direction. I usually reply to emails I get from HP regarding edits they've made to my work or congratulating me for making it to a niche site. In over 11 years I've never had to contact them with a specific query.

      Good luck!

Thank you so much for your quick response Samantha!

The article is - "Haunted Hike & Edwardian Gardens on Vale Trail 7 - Walking in the Vale of Glamorgan".

        I really appreciate your help.

        Rhys.

Hi Samantha, I just saw your reply to Russell after I posted above. Could you do me a favor and check that my email of January 21st is still in the inbox waiting for a reply from the Owlcation editor?  Thanks.

Hi Glenn, I can do that! Did you send it directly to the editor or to the team inbox?

The editor of Owlcation didn’t use a direct email with their rejection notice. So I replied to editors@hubpages.com with my questions on January 21st. I still have it in my sent folder and can forward it to you if you don’t find it. Thanks for checking.

Glenn, if you are talking about the email sent on Jan 21st, would you please forward it to team@hubpages.com? Then we can get it to the right editor.

We suggest not responding to automated emails from editors@hubpages and instead direct inquiries to team@hubpages. It's much quicker and easier for us to find.

Thank you! Sorry it's taken so long for someone to get back to you.

Thanks Samantha. I just forwarded that email to the team mailbox. I’ll use that from now on when I reply to an unknown editor. Good to know. Enjoy the rest of your evening.

Hi Samantha I am having the same issues. Although I did contact teamhubpages. I finally got an answer on one article but I still have two articles that I have heard nothing about. One article is on beating writers block which I submitted to letterpile who forwarded the article to HobbyLark. The other one I submitted to Touchnickel  about Drowning in Debt and how to get our of debt on Dec 28th and so far I have heard nothing from anyone. I would appreciate if you could see what is going on.
Articles are taking a long time to be approved.

Hi there, it looks like a decision was already made on the writer's block article. Please check your email/spam. As for the second one, I have notified ToughNickel's editor. You should get another notification within the next 24 hours.

            Hi Samantha

I still have received no word on the article for Hobbylark. I check my spam mail every day to see if there is anything there. This is regarding the article on writer's block.

              Hi,

I'm not sure why that is. I suggest emailing team@hubpages.com with this information.

The third article I submitted to Letterpile which I did receive an email from saying it had been sent to Hobbylark which was a better fit for it. It was submitted to Letterpile on Jan 20th.  This is a portion of the email I sent them.

I did contact team@Hubpages.com on Feb 5 but I haven't heard anything back.

I'm in the same boat with one I submitted to Spinditty. Usually they grab them without me having to submit, but when my latest hub wasn't moved I submitted it. I still haven't heard a thing.

Hi Sherry, if you are talking about "Ten Contemporary Fiddle Players Who Should be Rich and Famous," it looks like you got an author edit request about 5 weeks ago. Maybe check your email or spam folder?

The editors seem to be much more busy lately Sherry. In addition to one for Owlcation, I have another that I published a little over a week ago that I think fits well with ToughNickel. My hubs usually get moved within a week of publishing, so I might do the same as you and submit it.

You might get a faster response from editors@hubpages.com

I like your articles, Rhys. I have a particular liking for Dunraven Bay/Southerndown (our nearest beach) smile

And you've done the Tin Shed Experience - cool! I have an article on the sheds of Laugharne too.

      Thank you so much!

That means a lot. I find a real release in firstly, doing my walks, and then secondly, writing about them! Dunraven is beautiful.

Amazing, my aunt and uncle were the ones who ran the Tin Shed Experience! I love your articles and have passed them on.

      Thanks so much!

Writing to the “editors” email address doesn’t seem to help either. I’ve been waiting over three weeks for a reply to questions I asked about why one of my new articles was rejected. I suspect they are more busy that usual.
