Url asks for more letters, numbers, dashes and underscores and spaces!
How do I correctly create this url at beginning of creating a new article.
Its too difficult to create it. Look I have been wanting and needing to create more articles.
But first step of creating won't let me.  I need exacly correct letters, numbers and underscores and spaces. I need some help. Someone responded  and that didn't help me.
They said that automatically populates. That was incorrect.
    Look I need exact help!
Thanks a million for exact correct help.
    Sincerely, SherAnne

    You don't create it!

You simply write your title and it is created for you. It is possible to edit it, but if you are unsure, leave well alone.

Look at this screenshot. I've typed in the title 'Example Article'. The permalink (url) has been added right above it. I didn't do that.

You've written 46 articles. How did you manage to do it without this problem cropping up?

Also, don't put your personal contact details on the forum. It's not private - anyone on the web can see these posts.

website says please fix these errors before continuing
Please use more letters, spaces, underscores and dashes for your article
please use letters, numbers in the title of your article in web address

    impossible here!

Now is June 2, I have been trying since early May!

SherAnne, all you have to do is type your article title in the box I have shown above. Don't try to change the permalink.

You are clicking on the big orange 'Write' button, top right, aren't you? It appears on all HubPages pages and that's how/where you start an article.

If you know how to upload a screenshot, then do that so we can see the problem.

URLs are automatically generated when you enter a title. If the URL is already in use you can change the URL by clicking "edit" at the end of the permalink. You can either add a character at the end to make it unique or completely change it.

What is the full title of your article? It can't just be 'Relationships'. That doesn't help the reader.

Look I can call you confused, all the Way! And I told you what website says.
Can someone please explain for creating a url for some more articles over here? I told you what website says.
Now is June 7 and I have been trying to create url permalink since beginning of May!

I'm not confused. Not in the least.

We've been trying to help you. We've explained what you need to do. I've even posted screenshots to show you. As has Matt, who is a staff member.

'Relationships' is not a proper title for Hubpages. You have to make it longer. Which is why I asked what your title is... and you didn't reply.

I won't be trying to explain this to you any more.

Take a screenshot of the page that is showing you the error and post it here. The way you are describing things makes it difficult to understand what the root/main cause of the problem is.

If you are getting a warning saying the permalink is too short you need to add more characters and then click 'save'. See before and after examples below.
