    Hi Hubbers,

I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my article? What can I do to improve? Thanks!

      Hi there,

You've written a blog post. HubPages prefers informative, magazine-style articles.

Spend some time at the Learning Center, click Help, top right, to navigate there. There are some really useful articles there that tell you all you need to know.

If you really want to get this one published, it would do better at Medium.com.

That's weird because I've been posting here for quite a while, and have over 30 published and feature pieces, all similar style.

You could also try Blogger or Word Press.  Both can be monetized.

Content aside, you need to work on your formatting. The article should be broken into different text modules, each with its own heading. Also, as so many people read articles on their phones, it's better to have shorter paragraphs. Some of yours are really long. I would credit your picture and make sure it's available for usage. Hope this helps!

The same thing occurred to me - this is a personal blog not an informative, magazine-style article that we are told is what we should be writing.

One small thing Karen. You hit a raw nerve for me with "A few short months ago ..." I've always disliked this phrasing because I don't know how short a short month is. Is it shorter than a regular month?

It's like saying a small number of months.  It was April-July.

Hubpages is designed for people who want to receive views, primarily through Google.

To do that, you need to write about things that are important to other people, not just you. Does anyone care about your old boyfriend? No. Does anyone care about THEIR old boyfriend? Yes. You could flip this around and make it more of an educational post, for instance 10 Reasons Not to Date An Ex - My Story.

Hubpages has less selective criteria on network sites like Letterpile, but generally their goal is to promote content that gets views.

How do I erase a question from Hub Forum when I'm done receiving feedback?

You can't. You have a limited time to edit or delete a post. Not sure how long, maybe a couple of hours or so.

Why would you want to? Feedback is useful for others.
