This month they're in steep decline.
While it's only a 4% drop so far, the trend looks very concerning.
(I'm talking about views for the Discover site as a whole, as found on SEMRush, not my personal stats)
My biggest concern with Discover is the CPMs. They are almost non-existent. It doesn't matter if my views are up, down, or sideways, I am only earning pennies. I used to make payout every month. Now I'm wondering if it will be every two or three or more months.
With more and more of my articles achieving zero views nowadays, I'm finding the low CPMs less of a worry!
I'm joking but also serious. I have barely any views compared to what I used to. The various CPMs for my accounts could all double and I'd still be doing badly.
I understand what you're saying. This time of year it's normal for my views to fall because the gardening season is over. They will continue to fall until January when they start rising again. Once January rolls around, I will have a better handle on the traffic that my articles are attracting.
I follow what's happening with SEMRush, which gathers stats for websites and is independent of HP.
It seemed weird to me that Discover (and hp.com) have been doing so well, relative to the niches, given that the majority of the material in Discover (and hp.com) is crap.
Google has its issues but isn't normally that bad at "sorting the wheat from the chaff".
However, I thought/hoped there might be a short honeymoon period before the (inevitable) decline began...
I'm experiencing the same drop in monthly earnings. I have nearly stopped writing for Hubpages because the payouts have dropped so much, and they don't promote my articles to the specialty sites. Where are all the other writers going to make a little money for their efforts?

Matt posted on one of our threads that if we edit (our lowly) HP articles, there's a good chance they'll move to Discover. Well, I have done that, and they are moving over. I am not saying I am making money, but they are now Discover articles.

Since HP decided to kick our articles back to Discover, for some inexplicable reason, my Hubber score has plummeted. It is still kind of hanging in there on this account because I still have articles on niche sites, but on my other accounts it has dropped into the 60s. Prior to the move, it was in...

I'm relatively new to this site.I know most sites of its type do their best to be "Google friendly" which translates into "family friendly" (a phrase I hate, by the way). Over the years when tempted to use profanity either in a title or in the body of an article (and I can...

Who continues to edit and write here and notices an uptick or more in views, CPM or revenue?

I have been experiencing a steady drop over the past month. Views have dropped by over 50%. Has there been a Google update and is anyone else experiencing the same?

Something strange is going on. I have a hub that's been doing really well for years. It was hub-pro edited a couple of months ago and traffic increased by a couple hundred a day. Over the last week or so it's hovered around 750 per day. Overall it has almost half a million views.Today, views are...
