What places do people recommend to write at, besides Hubpages of course.

Also, where is a good place to get paid for pictures that aren't good enough for stock or to sell?

For pictures, check out RedGage.  Click on my profile, then click on the RedGage link.  (I get referral value, if you decide to register there.)

You earn $3 - $5 per picture that is featured, as an example.  They pick a lot of features, btw.

To answer the remainder of you question, I suggest you do a hub search.  Many excellent hubs have been written by some of our better hubbers (better, as in top earners) on this subject.

RedGage is a great site for backlinking also. With backlinks you get more traffic, and the possibilities to earn with AdSense are therefore higher. Other sites are:,,,,,, Be sure to read about these sites and experiences of other hubbers here on Hubpages by typing these site names into the search box. You can leave comments and ask questions which will be very helpful! StumbleUpon is a great traffic source but you must link to other peopleĀ“s sites and not only yours (otherwise this would be considered as an overly self-promotive act). Most of these sites share Google Adsense revenue based on your existing ID.

Other Google Adsense revenue sharing sites which I use are Infobarrel and Xomba.  If you go to my profile page you will see a referral sign up link - you earn the same but I get a little bonus smile.

If you are looking to bookmark your hubpages content and earn at the same time then join shetoldme, xomba, redgage, and snipsly.  Have written a separate hub on each of these sites.  Just have a read.

Great thread - I use redgage haven't used the others yet though have joined - other than eHow which has been a nightmare for the past month and today they pulled the wool under everyone and you have to be part of demand studios - I will update more as it unfolds. Fore example I had over 30 articles deleted without warning because they conflicted with demand studios can't see any other reason. The message be careful where you write and use all that time up and spread it around. Most of all the warning signs were there at eHow but no one wanted to believe.

Yeah, I just heard about that. I'd been playing with joining eHow, but am now glad I held off. I'm sorry to hear about what happened to you, though.

And thanks to everyone for providing the list of sites for me to research! (Through HP, of course.)

had a bad experience with demand as well.  They don't like when you challenge their editors at all.  I had five articles pending and blacked me out with out even letting me complete my work .

I think that Hubpages is the best place to earn money because of a Hubs ability to rank well within a quick amount of time.

I agree, Redgage is good for linking back to Hubpages and for uploading pictures which, many times gets a good response from others. If you're not a professional photographer, people will still respond as long as it's interesting.
