Having been here for fifteen months now, I've yet to receive my first cheque from Adsence or Amazon.
Just this morning, thanks to advice in a Hub written by the Bard of Ely, I altered the layout of my Hubs so that they no longer began with an image or video. Here's hoping this improves the placement of Google adverts, and therefore increases income.
I would like to ask for other useful ideas for improving my Hubs.
you should post the links of the hubs you want to be evaluated.

These four give a fair representation of my range of Hubs and the general style and presentation.
(a) If this is Amazon revenue desired, then I would add more text capsules and put Amazon links along side, under some pictures.
(b) If this is Adsense revenue desired, the I would move the first picture out from where it is, take the first to paragraphs you have in your first text capsule and make a new text capsule for the beginning. It should be enough to bring out the Ad along side of the capsule.
Marisa Wright wrote an awesome hub with some great tips.
I do like your writing, and your hubs look good (although I didn't look at all four...).
First, do not place photos next to the the first capsule. You are taking up PRIME AdSense space. Start them with capsule 2.
Do your keyword research. Your pottery hub, for instance is "Pretty Ugly Pottery." Hardly anyone is searching for "ugly pottery" or "pretty ugly pottery." They are searching for "pottery," but's nearly impossible to rank well for a generic term like that. Same for your dracula hub. You rank 2nd for "portrait of vlad dracula," but no one is searching for it. And you're not ranking well for the one term that does have some search traffic -- "vlad dracula."
Try not to have huge chunks of unbroken text, like in your Dracula hub. I think 2 to 3 paragraphs max should be in a capsule before you break it up with a pic or subhead or new section.
In a nutshell, I think your biggest problem is lack of keyword research and the topics you write about. I don't think all of them really lend themselves to someone who would click on an ad. But what do I know, I write sales hubs after all.
This hub has similar problems as the previous hub.

Utilized the tips from Marisa Wright's hub on here as well.
(a) Add more content.
(b) Break up text by adding more text capsules.
(a) Add more content, if possible.
(b) Use tips from Marisa's hub.
I hope that helped.
Thank you for all your ideas and advice; it's appreciated!

Hello!I just joined Hubpages a few days ago. I've produced a few hubs at this point, and I'd like to know if I'm on the right track. I can already say that my use of pictures needs some work - I'm still doing some research on how to find them legally. Any and all comments/critiques/suggestions are...

I just happened to be viewing one of my hubs that has been deemed a sleeper, and I noticed that the Amazon and Ebay advertisements in the capsules displayed on the hub has been increased in size. This alarms me, as I have many hubs with various text capsules with these capsules within that...
