This might be a little odd, but maybe a feature that would allow us to be able to go back to the old way of uploading pictures would be to send it to the original HubPages (back a month ago)before the new features were added.
I still can't upload new photos, it makes it difficult to write interesting Hubs when I can't 'show' what I am writing about.
MySpace has an option on it that allows you to 'go back' to the older home page.
The only browser that works on my computer is Flock, so that is what I am stuck with at this time.
I just downloaded the latest Flock browser onto Windows Vista, and I was able to upload photos to HubPages without a problem. You could try updating your Flock browser if you do not already have the latest version.
I'm sorry if you've already reported this problem before, but what goes wrong when you try to upload a photo? Do you get an error message? What does it say? If there is no error message, then can you describe for me exactly what happens?
I'm afraid that it doesn't make sense to me that Flock is the only browser that works on your computer. I assume that you are running Windows? If so, you should be able to download any of the major modern browsers: Firefox 3, Google Chrome, or Internet Explorer 8. If you don't know how to do this, then I'm happy to point you in the right direction.
We will consider making it possible to go back to the old way of uploading photos. In the meantime, you can get the same effect by disabling Flash on your browser. In the version of Flock that I just downloaded, I am able to disable Flash by going to Customize and Control Flock (which looks like a box with two lines through it) > Options > Under the Hood > Content Settings > Plugins > Disable Individual Plugins and then clicking on "disable" next to "Shockwave Flash." I don't necessarily advise this, though, because lots of web sites rely on Flash (Google Street View for example) and it might break things in other places for you. You can always re-enable Flash whenever you want to, though.
It sounds like a nice idea, but I'm sure HubPages doesn't want to have to maintain old systems any longer than necessary - and human nature being what it is, some people would simply never make the transition to the new one.
This makes no sense at all. I suggest you need to get your computer fixed! As Flock is not one of the major browsers, you're always going to strike problems whenever new features are introduced on any site - so it would be well worth diagnosing the problem, so you can download Firefox.
I'm currently using Google Chrome. It's a very clean and fast browser..no fancy toolbars to get in the way. Firefox is good too, but sometimes has trouble loading pages. Internet Explorer is the worst..incompatible with many websites. That's why most people are abandoning it in droves. Good riddance!
Unfortunately, dealing with pictures on the internet, usually requires a fairly fast connection..the faster the better. This is usually the biggest bottleneck.
Each of these browsers react differently to the Hubpages photo uploaders..old and new.
I suspect the new photo uploader still needs some tweaking..be patient, and give your feedback experience to the HP staff, or try this forum thread: http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/55019
To be honest, I kind of like the new way better, for what its worth.
With the old one, when doing multiple hubs or pictures, I would inevitably select the picture and click save, forgetting to actually upload it.
This, of course, probably says more about me than the UI, but seems to not be an issue, as the download starts automatically.
The layout is a little off for me in Firefox 3.6 + Linux though, haven't checked it in Chrome or Windows. Also, the "choose file" dialog opens minimized(probably on my end...)
YAY FINALLY!!!! I am able to upload pictures!! I talked to the guy at my ISP and he helped me through my comptuer issues with my IE not working. I finally got firefox back AND IE... Now my IE loads pics just fine. I was finally able to put together the one Hub that I'd been waitng on. Well it didn't quite turn out how I wanted it, but it's here. Maybe I'll tweak it later. Just wanted it up an running for now. Was able to load 32 pictures. Had ton more, but not sure if there is a need for all of them. LOL
Doin' the Pee-pee dance here!!

Just noticed that the facebook like button is not showing in Firefox, although it shows up fine in Chrome when I looked.

What is the best browser to use while using HubPages?Do you use Firefox, Chrome, Safari or any other browser? Which browser do you think is the best while interacting on HubPages and why?

For the last several days if I wish to share a good hub from a HP author with my followers, it won't do it for some reason. Is anyone else having this problem?

I edited an old hub and found a message at the top saying my browser was under beta-testing and might cause problems, so I should consider changing my browser. However, I use both Firefox 5 and Internet Explorer, and these are two of the suggested browsers that I should change to! I am...
