with my first hub, my experience was much better than squidoo. I like the design here - squidoo is way too busy looking.

Both are easy once you know how.

And both have benefits that the other does not.

I've made a hub comparing the two: Hubpages vs Squidoo.

    And the winner is...?

Well that's up for you to decide. Personally I think the winner is anyone who uses both. Provided they don't publish duplicate content. And their work is original.

I am a member of both Squidoo and HubPages. Both sites have there pros and cons but one thing is true, they are both excellent.

I also just joined HP and like what I see so far.  Hubs are easy to set up and fun to make.  I hear that the HP pays better than Squidoo.

So far I am earning a lot my through Squidoo particuarly with affiliate sales from Amazon & EBay. I have only had adsense earnings from hubpages. No Amazon or Ebay yet.

There are so many variable that it would be hard to back that up.

Overall, Adsense on your Hubs can earn a person more money, compared to Squidoo.

Apart from that it depends on the quality (and uniqueness) of your content and what you're doing to promote your lenses/hubs.

I prefer squidoo as for the design and facilities (links is better than hubpages) but I prefer hubpages as for adsense. It's difficult to get traffic with squidoo community at least for newcomers.

      How so?

Anyway, I'm not too fond of traffic from any community if it's coming from within that community. Because it's not quality traffic.

i find that it's MUCH easier to get traffic with hubpages thatn squidoo. being a newcomer to both, even new to squidoo, I would think that traffic would be similar. But, with hubpages, I get traffic from ALL over the internet and with various search engines. I treat hubpages and squidoo the same in reference to social bookmarking and all, but I just find hubpages much better with traffic.

I agree that the traffic seems much better here at HP than Squidoo. And hubs are much quicker to set up than Squidoo lenses. It seems that Squidoo sometimes takes forever to load when creating a lens. Plus, I make more money per Hub page than each Squidoo lens monthly.

Everyone compares Hubpages to Squidoo just like they do Myspace to Facebook.Bottom liner is each have their pros and cons and some have better features than others but there is a place for all of them.. and it's down to personal preference..

Variety is the spice of life in my books:)

Well, I'm somewhat new to hubpages (Only posted one lense so far) but I really like it. The design is clean (not cluttered like squidoo) and allows the reader to focus on the article instead of each page being more like a portal to hundreds of different sites. As far as traffic and search engine rank and all that, I don't have a lot of experience so don't really know... but I'm loving hubpages so far (still learning the ins and outs of how it works)

I prefer hubpages to squidoo but hubpages is a bit frustrating as for some technical limitations like html or javascript block. Heard it will come one day ?

I very much doubt the inclusion of javascript.

Some basic HTML may not be out of the question.

I have only just started using hubpages and i have been using suidoo for 4 months now, so i am undecided, but it is encouraging to read others comments that hubpages seems to be the better out of the two for earnings.

I've only ever used HubPages, and I quite like its sleek, fast-loading design. I wonder what it'd be like on dialup lol. Mental note: check out this Squidoo thing.

Once you're familiar with HubPages then Squidoo is quite easy to understand. Once you find out the differences are quite similar.

I like the oxymoron you threw in there ^_^

Still, I have no intention of checking out Squidoo anytime soon.
