Hi Jane,
I'm not really familiar with Bing. What are the benefits and is it a monetized option like HP? How do I find you on the site?
I am getting a lot of traffic from really obscure search engines all though my most popular hub its from Google lol.. a couple are holding up after the Panda attack
I second that, great to here Bing likes you, it's good to have the search engines in your favor! Congrats
Hi Cagsil great to see ya!
Hey Katie Always a pleasure to see you and hope you're well too.
@K9, nice to see you too. Hope things are well for you also.
Thanks Cags! Nice to see you also. Things are pretty good. Having a blast with wrting contest. Hope you are doing well these days.
Cool to hear about you writing in the contest. Good luck. I'm doing well. Thank you.
Super glad to hear it my friend. Thanks for the "luck" I need it with all of the hot hubs being entered.
Do you use Bing Cags?
Sorry, I seem to have missed your post. I apologize. Actually, I haven't, but am planning on doing as some others have, submitting my hubs.
Just to test it out and see what kind of results I get.
@Misty - what's up? You back home?
Hi Cags, yep, back in Guernsey again, missing the holiday of course, but weather pretty good here right now, so getting growing my veggies as usual
PS. Can you answer my question about submitting hubs to Bing Cags??
I would think that Bing would, but it is unknown how pages/hubs/sites Bing lists?
The last time I checked, Google was up over 300 Billion pages, in total. Bing- I don't know anything about or how it indexes?
That is why I'm contemplating submitting a few hubs to see what happens.
I hope you get a great deal from your garden.
Awww, thanks Cags, right now the garden is likely to produce more income than Hubpages I am looking seriously at writing for excerptz.com (Ryankett's site) too, (80% Adsense revenue to author), and setting up my own site. I will not leave Hubpages, but guess spreading our net a little wider has got to be a good thing.
I am not a huge fan of Bing, but I think that they have significantly improved over the last few months.
I didn't like Bing in the beginning as well but since they have more accurate searches than Google now, I am using them and submitting my hubs
Won't their 'bots' and 'spiders' find our hubs without us submitting them manually, because I really don't fancy submitting over 300 of mine one by one in order to get them listed with Bing?
yes, they find hubs. my Bing views have increased since all of this google craziness. I've never submitted a hub. I didn't realize it was an option.
Maybe it just speeds up the process, but I think I will have to play the waiting game as submitting all of mine one by one would take forever.
I have also been noticing more traffic from Bing since the Google Panda Update. But it might be due to what I did to improve my hubs to survive the changes. I'm also seeing more traffic from Yahoo. But Google traffic? That's another story...way down today!
@Stacie L and mistyhorizon2003
How do you go about submitting a Hub to Bing - or to any other search engine?
I wish I could answer this question Aficionada, but to be honest I have never done it, which is another reason I am not keen to start now! Perhaps Cags or Stacie L can answer this and enlighten both of us
I've been looking around over there and the images are amazing. It has improved since I last explored.
I found this page which includes the link to submit an URL.
http://www.bing.com/toolbox/webmasters/
It looks like you can submit your profile page and it will pick up hubs. That's all I'm doing for now, and will see what happens.
That's what I just did. I submitted my profile.
Edit: Thank you for the link
Thanks, rebekahELLE! Much appreciated. I'll certainly try this.
Wow, that is great, thanks I shall try that now
Thank you for the tip. I just did that. It made me cry, because I had to make over 20 attempts at typing in the jumbled letters and numbers since I could not make out what they should be. I wish they would at least present real words, that way, if not every letter is obvious, at least it is possible to make an intelligent guess.
I have been submitting my sites to Bing since it opened.
You can submit to Yahoo, but if you submit to Bing I dont see the use really.
But here's the link to Yahoo anyway.

Thanks, I didn't know there was a link to submit my profile page...I just saw my hubs ranked higher on Bing. Now, lets hit Yahoo!

I was under the impression that we could only submit one hub every two weeks for niche sites. I submitted a hub and an editor replied with changes that I needed to make before it could be moved. As I'm making those changes, I have received two emails that another two of my hubs are...

I just realized that my Hubs get absolutely no views from Bing and Yahoo; however Google on the other hand still happens to send around 400 a day. Any idea why this is happening? One particular hub actually ranks extremely well on Google and gets me 50% of my traffic, I just searched for similar...

I have written several hubs about fashion and clothing. I worked as a designer, dressed woman, sewed, created patterns, etc. in the early 80s. I also have a couple of years towards a fashion degree I never completed, plus a diploma in colour coding and I once got 100% for a make up exam.So I'm not...

Hi Hubbers,We've been engaging with some outside help on helping bring more traffic to HubPages. It's going to be an iterative process where we take recommendations, test them out on the site, and adjust. The first round of changes we have been working on is the topic hierarchy. ...

I may be naive, but tell me what Google actually has to gain from dissing this site?
by Brandon Lobo 12 years ago
I usually never bothered about being ranked on Bing as I used to never get views even though my hubs were ranked #1 to #3 whereas the same keyword ranking on page 2 on goolge used to fetch me plenty of views. But, now all of my hubs are totally out of bing - any reason? I heard that Bing is moving...
