Wendy's claims their fries are better than McDonald's as compared in recent taste test.
hmmmm, what say you?
Who's fries are really better Wendy's or McDonald's?
McDonald's fries are the best on the market. That is when they are actually made fresh and cooked right. The truth of the matter is that many locations don't actually cook them or salt them consistently, which could be the result of the taste test.
But, I'm pretty sure the survey or taste test was bias.
I agree with you I feel McDonalds wins hands down!
Ya, McDonalds, now go answer my questions Cags....lol
Micky D's has better fries hands down. Wendy's fries are Disgusting with a capitol D.
I used to go to Wendy's regularly when I lived in London, but now they all seem to be gone here in Europe. Was much better than McDonald's - the fries, too.
You don't like my boiled potatoes, then I'll bake it for you. With sour cream and grated cheese anybody?
I'm not terribly impressed with either of them. Burger King fries at least have the decency to taste like real potatoes. Although it did disturb me back when they had to announce the fact that they were starting to make them with real potatoes. Because it sparked my then teenage mind to ask...what the hell were you making them from in the first place?
Now, given the choice between Wendy's fry-shaped dried bacon grease and Mcdonalds salt encrusted sticks of lard, I would go with McDonalds.
I like wendys, especially when they used to have the fish sandwich. Also they have great baked potatoes which I would choose over their fries.
Oh it's Wendy's food for me all the way. Their fries will always remain questionable though.
Ah yes this is true and I know a lot of people who like their chili.
Nate, Your so right Wendy's fries have never really been good, in my opinion, but I honestly don't eat fries often, once in a while.
When I came to Canada, my first job was at Harvey's, same fast food joint. They used to change oil in fryers once a week! Imagine eating all that oil in fried products, that has been cooked over, and over, and over, and over, and over + some for a week. No fries for me, thank you. I still want to live happily ever after. There is nothing "fresh" about it. Frozen prepared food and grossly overcooked oil. It's not food - it's illusion of it. Though it tastes great, no doubt about it, if you are brainwashed enough.
the new wendys from are good (if cooked right) but not better then micky ds. chick-fila is the best!!!
Wendys only has ONE tasty menu item.... and even that looks like a melting turd..
I don't think that we even have Wendy's over here in the UK anymore - but I like McDonalds fries anyway!
Greek One are you lowering the tone again!!!!!!!
Too often people cannot connect wrong food intake on a regular basis and health problems as a result of it. Instead of changing their lifestyle, they would run to a doctor for some pills, and then they would stabilise their problem and sometimes make it irreversible. Sad thing. Well, to tell you the truth I am not that smart either. It took me almost 30 years and the beginning of serious health problems to figure it out.
Sorry, what was it all about? I was just talking about french fries...

Wendy's claim that their new fries are made from Russet potatoes and sea salt.....so are every other one and
"One thing that won't change for the better will be nutrition: The new fries will pack more sodium - a medium size fry goes from 350 milligrams to 500 milligrams (sea salt is no better for you than table salt) - and calories jumps 10 to 420. "
..they're not any healthier or tastier than McDonalds,IMO
Oh my I thought sea salt was healthier, gotta check this out, thanks
Sea salt IS better if our food producers manage to stay away from adding some crap to it. I doubt it, though.
My question is , "Are they going to fry it, and on what to make it healthy?" That's a tough one. Oil? Butter? Angel dust? Cat piss? The method of cooking that's what makes it bad.
I repeat that METHOD OF COOKING. You cannot fry them you have to bake them and then they will taste like you know what, I am sure.
Solve that problem and I will be first in line. I love potatoes.

Do you prefer McDonalds, Burger King, or Wendy's hamburgers? If you like an alternative fast food chain, let us know. Fries may factor into your decision—but tell us that. Justify your answer. I need to know this.

Yesterday my husband went into McDonald's to get my son some lunch. He chose this place because of the Monopoly game, otherwise he would have gone somewhere else. He went through the drive-thru and ordered. When he got down the street he noticed that on his large cup, the game...
