My hub views have plummeted today from 300+ to just 70. Even at weekends it never goes that low. Can anyone suggest what happened? Thanks
Google bots must be having a fun weekend. I have been checking keywords to find where things are and finding article which have been on the first page are no longer there. Others I am finding much higher than they have ever been before.
One must remember that social media plays a larger role in where articles and websites are placed now. Likes, retweets, comments, and links make a difference to Google's bots. One of my articles has been replaced on page 1 by an article, well linked and with many comments posted in 2001. One hub which was ranked page 1 against 365,000 is now ranked page 1 one against 1,020,000. It has had a lot of comments and been shared frequently within the past few weeks.
Could the mirror site we've been hearing about be siphoning off views? I've wondered if that would be happening - can't tell just yet.
Negative. Check out this thread, especially Jason's post. Other mentions as well that the copies are not ranking, therefore not siphoning off traffic.

check your sources- if there are no google views then you have been "sandboxed" by google
We have discussed this in a couple of threads earlier.. Weekend traffic has been really bad for me the last six weeks but it always surges back to normal.. I loose about 30% traffic which is back again on Monday mornings... Luckily this weekend seems different..the slip sliding has not started as yet...
Traffic usually has a pattern and it's recommended that you figure out the 'down' days and maybe provide a Hub or promotion activity, near that particular time. Maybe, it will help just a thought
Mine have dropped a tiny bit today but I've been filing DMCA complaints against 4 sites that stole and spun my Ezine article all day so I haven't been able to do much hubbing!
Richie, you probably already know this, but when you say they "spun" it, what do you mean? You can only file a DCMA complaint if they copied your exact words. You can't copyright a topic. I have had people steal my book titles and steal unique ideas. Not a thing I can do about it. I just have to make sure my writing is better than theirs, which usually is not a problem.
Actually you can file a complaint if it doesn't pass Copyscape, also they violated Ezine TOS regarding the republishing of authors work without crediting them and changing the content.
Also it had my original author resource box which was spun with my pen name included. The article has the exact title as mine on 6 websites.
The web hosting company recognized this and are going to suspend the accounts of 6 domains due to this information.
I've filed DMCA complaints for my hubs being stolen in the past and won as well.
My views have dropped about 700 a day total since Jan 31st.
It's been a steady fall, but I am still getting the most traffic from Google, about 90%.
It's Google, HubPages, Yahoo, Bing in that order.
Really? HubPages just under google?
Since the subdomain change my HP traffic has gone to nearly nothing, while traffic from my subdomain has taken third place, just under google.ca. Right now, for the day, I'm showing 4 from HP and 160 from my subdomain.
Well I tried googling my hubs. My best ranked hub up till now has been Forex Forward Rates and has been ranked between 1 and 6 on google for months now. Today I can't find it. Some of my other hubs which I tried are still ranked well. I also noticed that one particular hub which for the last 10 days has been getting the most views when googled is on the first page of google 6 times but not as hub pages but as retweets from Twitter. Is that a bad or a good thing?
Welcomes to the Hubpages roller-coaster. Unfortunately we never got a real answer from Hubstaff as to why this is happening so we have no idea when it will hit, whom it will hit or long it will last.
Alexadry you are not alone in this my stats are really strange the last couple of days.
Randy, you have gotten yerself a brand new snakey LOL
Wild panda it sure is
Yep, I spared no expense in commissioning this original "Ewbie" logo. Of course, this is merely the Picasso version. I will be using several versions of these one-of-a-kind images during my postings on the forums now! Having a genuine "Ewbie" is all the rage now!

Anyone noticed their hub views taking a noticeably huge drop today? I see blue arrows everywhere!

Wow...I think I like the new personalized hubpages. My daily views hub views are beginning to jump off the charts. I am less than one week away from a new traffic milestone of 200,000 views. Two thumbs way up for Hub page organizationers and there site management savvy.

Hi everyone! I have never posted in the forum, so just thought that I would give it a try! Haha. Just out of curiosity, how long did it take you to get your first 1,000 views on HubPages? I have been here for almost four months now, and I'm just 100 views shy of the thousand...

How many hub views do you get in one day?I currently get around a 100 views a day with 30 hubs. Is that OK?
