I recently deleted several hubs, which meant that I would soon have several broken in-text links to correct.
Whenever I change these in-text links I edit the capsule, highlight the link and click the "break link" button, which removes the link from the text. So far, so good and everything looks fine.
When the capsule is saved, however, that same text is now underlined. It is necessary to edit the capsule again to remove the underline.
If it helps, I use windows XP and Firefox 12, although previous firefox versions have had the same problem.
As you mentioned underline I care to add another problem that has been persistent from the time I joined. Whenever I underline two or more separte parts in a particular text capsule, it doesn't save and I have to do it individually (one part - save the capsule, edit again and then the next). When I'm creating a list this gets irritating. I now just edit the html and underline the text. But, if this could be fixed it would be great.
PS: Wilderness, I just tried unlinking to check what happens and I got the same problem as you. The text remains underlined. If I'm not mistaken, that's what always happened.
I would add that spell check is also having a similar problem. When I press the spell check button misspelled words are not showing so I can't spot them. Yet when I save the capsule afterwards, they end up underlined. I have to go back and edit the underlining out.
Hmmm. Sounds like a general problem with underlining. Maybe someone from HP will see these and check into them next week, on a weekday.

Hi, I noticed over the last few days that when I copy and paste my document on word into the text tool, it comes up underlined and I have to spend time correcting and removing the underlines from the text that I do not want underlined (which is majority of the text). It can be time consuming and...

When I edit inside a text capsule (in Edit mode) and then save, I find whole lines and even sometimes paragraphs have been underlined. I then have to go back in and select that portion to turn off the underline. It can get time consuming having to keep going back to turn the underlining off. Anyone...

What is the deal with people creating hubs with 100% bolded or underlined text body?As I have been hub hopping I have run across several hubs with the entire body of the article in bold, underline, or both. It is hurtful to my eyes when I come upon it, I do not even want to read whatever it is....

The small Amazon icon is not appearing, and the text is not underlined! You can only know it's a link when you click on it. Anyone else seeing this or is it a problem with my phone?

I did report this some time back but I cannot find the old report....When you have a broken link and you go into edit mode and click the "unlink" icon after highlighting the linked text it all looks OK - the blue will have gone and normal text will remain. However when you save, the text...

For a few weeks, when in edit mode or when writing a new hub, keywords that Kontera selects and underline -- pop up as broken links. This neccessitates having to unlink their link and works (as they immediately relink it)until the next time you have to go into edit mode on that hub.
