The Arrogance of Google and adsense program

Updated on August 31, 2012

The Arrogance of Google

First off, the google ads on this hub as in all hubs that have activated adsense accounts display google ads of course. What happens though if an writer has/had an adsense account suspended? Please read on about the dark side of google adsense. This tale has been played out by many victims. The irony is all you have to do is "google" adsense account suspended. Its almost a self- incrimination thing.

Ever heard of not putting all your eggs in one basket? Don't depend on earnings from the google adsense program. Try other programs to make money. I found out I was not alone when google canceled my account with no explanation.

There is many first hand accounts on people that have had their accounts disabled without them being told why. Check out youtube and search for "adsense account disabled". You will come upon many testimonials from people whose acounts have been blocked. The kicker is google refuses to explain to people why this has happened.

When you try to log onto your account a message pops up saying your account has been suspended but if you email them they will get back with you and tell you why and reconsider unsuspending your account. I have emailed them many, many times over the months with no replies. Goggle has become a monster company and in doing so, has become arrogant with very little customer service skills.

This has also made me change my phone from an android to an apple phone because when they suspended my google account I lost all the apps I bought under my google account.

I have read about a few lawsuits against google because once your account is canceled they keep the money they owe you. One person filed a suit against google and won. Here is the story.

What I think is the ultimate injustice is, google canceled my account but still puts ads on my hubpages and is making money off of my writing and doesn’t have to share any profit with me!

I had contacted hubpages and evidently there is no way I can turn off google ads without turning off the hubpage ad program.

The book that explains the "Dark" side of Google

Google, to me, is not an honest company and the sheer size of this entity has led them to monopolize certain segments of the internet. Google is everything that is wrong with corporate America where they feel rules don't apply to themselves. I consider myself a Republican when I say this. A profitable business is good for everyone, consumers, workers, the company itself until the company becomes so huge that it loses it's focus of their customers needs and wants.

Has Google become a monopoly and arrogant against it's customers?

You are correct in that it is scary that Google have a monopoly. I also back up that people should use other revenue sources, such as Chikita, Infolinks, Amazon affiliates, Click bank and there are others that I just can't think of right now.

I am really sorry about your account though.

Thanks I wil look into your suggestions. I think google is ripe for a class action lawsuit. I have put some feelers out to different lawyers

Consider this as a burning-your-fingers experience. I empathize with your predicament and advise you to concentrate on finding clients, for your writing, your products, your content etc. Although it hurts, a long term approach to doing business online is the safest way to go for it, ensure that your tactic is not dependent on any other online power house, because you remain vulnerable.

Thanks for your input. I think your right. To depend on a revenue source that dosn't play fair has risks. I guess I'm a bit naive and think most large companies play fair. Kind of a cut thoat world and seems if the corporate giants feel as if they can crush the "small" people.

As writers, we are not Google's customers, we are closer to employees. Content makes a difference, negativity makes a difference. If you do not want them making money off your hubs, take them down.

If we are employees too google don't we have a right to know what we did wrong and why we were "fired?" Many. many people have been "fired" from google with no explantion.

Also why should I take my work down? I'm not the one free loading off of google, the sitution is actually reversed.
