How to Find Ideas for Writing Articles?

Updated on August 14, 2014

Writing an article is like conducting a research. Whenever you have to conduct a research your first step is to find out the topic for the research. Many new writers find it difficult to get ideas because the article should have to be one that is full of knowledge and in demand too. There is no single topic or group of topics that can make you earn more. There are variety of topics that people search on Google and other search engines. There are various variables that effect how your article will be rated on search engines listing. As in research finding the best topic is the key to conduct a successful research, similarly, in writing articles think about the topics which can be suitable to your situation. Here are some easy guidelines to find ideas for writing articles.

Questions and Answers:

People ask questions on different websites some of them are more famous like,,, and off course Hub Pages questions. These questions reflect the problems or opportunities from which you can get the knowledge about what people want to read, look or see on internet. These problems are opportunities which may not have been solved by previously written articles. You can take a proactive approach and rather than writing on those topics which have been written again and again and therefore will have tough competition write on these topics. A proactive approach is the most successful approach in today's competitive market. Internet market is very competitive and if you are choosing a topic which has been targeted by many people than you have to do much more effort to make it better than that of your competitors. On the other hand a topic which has been least touched will make you earn more.

To know how much have been written on any topic and how much competition there already exist about any topic search it on Google Adword Keyword Tool. It is simple just open this link and type the word or phrase for which you want to know the competition and hit the search key. You will get a list of related words and their competition.

While I started writing on HubPages forums I learnt the benefits of forums. I got better ideas for hubs and got more followers than I had previously.

Like questions and answers, forums too are great source of inspiration for getting ideas for articles. With forums you can get exposure in the cyber world. On HubPages your posts give you exposure and other hubbers would like to know about you. With postings you can learn about new topics and also about topics that people want to read. You can make hubs/articles on the topics which people would like to know.

Real-life Experiences:

Your real life experiences are what make you knowledgeable. Perception of world around us gives us information and ideas too. Whatever we see in our day-to-day routine enriches our mind and give us new dimensions. The place where you work or your family can become a strong source of ideas.

Along with day-to-day experiences your educational background is one of the most important source of ideas. I love to write on topics that I have studied in my college and university courses, as while writing on these topics I am very confident because I know them well. If you add some new researches to your previous knowledge your article will become excellent.

The way we live and spend our time shows our interests, hobbies, attitudes and values. These things in turn determines what a person want to know. Lifestyles around the world are as diverse as similar, due to the globalization many of our interests and hobbies are alike. Like people everywhere want to know about gadgets, mobile and iphones regardless of where they live and what are their living standards. On the other hand as new cultures and lifestyles have emerged from previous cultures there is a variety of lifestyles. By studying lifestyles of people we get to know what should be written and what is in demand.

Peter welcome to the HubPages. My suggestion is that write more and closely knit articles and comment on others hubs so that people know about you and follow you. But much more important is to write qualitative and long hubs that get good ranking in search engines listings.

That was a nice little article. Thank you for the time in writing it. I do appreciate it. If you have any ideas for me, let me know. Right now I am primarily writing health, music, and special interest blogs.
