How To Make A Good Sales Lens

Updated on June 29, 2013

Do You Want To Earn Money From Sales?

On Squidoo, one of the most popular ways to make money is by using the Amazon Modules. Amazon Modules allow you to sell any product on Amazon, and when someone buys that product from your lens, you'll earn close to 4.25% of the commission. Although that percentage seems to be very small, you don't have to ship out the product or even buy it. All you have to do is have it on your lens, and then when someone buys that product, you'll get a commission. When you make many sales, you'll keep on getting small commissions, and 100 small commissions add up to 1 large commission. Being able to get a sale takes hard work, and making hundreds by selling products is even harder.

If you want more sales, then you are at the right place. I have been responsible for over 200 sales in only 7 months, and each month results in even more sales. I will show you some of the methods that I use to get more sales as well as some methods that other lensmasters use. Everyone deserves to succeed on Squidoo, and I think that a good sales lens can help you do just that.

Leading Off With A Strong Presentation

When people give tips, they usually tell you to make a good introduction, but I think a presentation is a better word. A lens with a good presentation has a nice background (not the normal blue background, something different), a solid introduction of 2 paragraphs, and a picture that draws in the audience. To me, that is a lens with a good presentation. Tell your audience what you are selling and how you're different from everyone else. An audience likes someone that they can relate to. If you are selling Legos, tell your audience that you love Legos and are a big fan. Be sure to include proof later on because your audience will buy from you since you know what you are talking about.

Give Good Reasons

It is not good enough to have a good presentation and do nothing but promote Amazon products with the Amazon Module. To get more sales, you need to add some Text Modules to your lens and tell your audience about the product. The Text Module is the summary of what you are selling. Then you should include a Text List Module and list 3-5 reasons of why you want or have the product already. This allows you to build into a personal review. After that, you can include a Blackbox Module and in 1 sentence, explain the main feature of your product. Repeat this method for another 5 products and then use the Amazon Module.

A potential customer is a customer who could buy something on your lens, and every visitor is a potential customer. Be sure to influence their decision by providing the lowest prices on Amazon and telling your audience that these are the cheapest prices. For example, one of my lenses titled, "Cheapest Lego Sets in the World" gets a lot of sales, and most of those Legos are indeed cheap. Tell your potential customers that your products are at the lowest prices.

Include The Widgets

Advertisements similar to the picture to the right are very common on various websites because these ads give the advertiser more exposure. Ads on a website usually appear on the top right hand corner where you "can't miss them." You can put an Amazon Widget on your Squidoo lens or your website so that your audience sees the product(s) on the top right hand corner of your lenses and websites. Don't take the widget for granted because it can give you more sales.
