Mystic Mama

Updated on January 17, 2011

Mystic Mama

Hello,

My name is Bambi aka: Mystic Mama

I am a freelance writer & creative artist who lives full-time in my RV with my 2 cats, Scrapper & Boo~Boo kitty. We travel around the United States trying to live life to the fullest.

I have reinvented myself many times over the years and I am currently enjoying the beautiful sunny weather in New Mexico & exploring what adventures I will try next in my life.

The Dynamic Duo

Gone Over The Rainbow Bridge

I love this photo of two of the best friends I've ever had. Koko was the most loving and sweet Pitbull ever & she loved her Kitty Wompuss nearly as much as I did.

Koko was 14 years old when she followed Kitty Wompuss over the Rainbow Bridge. She was a wonderful companion to our whole family & both Koko & Kitty Wompuss will be forever loved & missed..

I'm glad that I found this lens. It's good to see how others publish an index of their work.

You know, sometime, i think about buying an RV for me in Brazil and living going round and round in here. But, for best and for worst, i am too addicted to the metropolitan lifestyle in São Paulo city.

How did you cope with your first days/weeks/months of this "wandering-life"?

Living out of your RV and getting to travel sounds like fun. I just might put that on my bucket list.

The more of your lenses and squidu forum comments I read, the more I find we have in common. I hope our travels take us to someplace at the same time so we can meet in person. Thumbs up!

I just love your presentation with this Lensography and am astounded at our similarities. You are a few years my senior, as I was born in '69, but my life mirrors yours in many ways. I was raised a Pagan beginning in the 70s, though I stopped practicing years ago. I've also been a Christian and dabbled in Buddhism. I am often surprised by the number of Wiccans I encounter since it was never something discussed growing up for fear of social persecution, even though I lived in a suburb of Denver. I have never pursued anything like you, but my mother was told by a psychic when I was about 9 that I absorbed negative energy, as well, and required a good amount of "alone" time to recoup (which was true). I've been told by others that I, too, am a healer, though I have rarely attempted to use it. I do give a wicked massage, though! lol For your 25 things - we match on: 2 (no really, I am! lol), I would say 3, but I've never been officially tested (both my grandfather and uncle were tested though and both are considered geniuses - wish I had inherited that part), 8 (but years ago, not today), 10, 12 (I cannot remember the last time I dusted), 13 (rare to find people who don't like fruit much - though I like berries), 14, 16, 19, 20 (if they're really good pickers - I loved Hee Haw! lol), 23, 24 (though I've learned to enjoy mornings, too) & 25. On top of that, I'm a writer and an artist ~ though you are a far better artist than I am. If I don't have a mouse, I can't do squat. You're work is beautiful! And your family (including pets) is precious! Thanks for sharing!!! :D

I went here today after my first day at SquidU. I made a forum post, and saw your name as a Mentor here at Squidoo. Since I could use all the help I can get, I decided to come and see who you were and check out one of your lenses here. It is fabulous! No wonder you are a Mentor. I look forward to learning a lot about Squidoo from you. Thanks for helping us!

Bambi, I loved reading your story. You have a terrific family and an adorable granddaughter! My favorite part of this lens was reading your list of 25 things about you -- and realizing how many things we have in common. I also do #9, and completely agree with your views in #s 16, 17, 19, 21, and 'most definitely' #23! Thanks for sharing.

Its about time I stopped by to visit and get to know more about you. It was funny after my youngest moved out too, that she said, "You really are an old hippie, aren't you?"

This has been fun getting to know you better and this is a great lens Bambi. Blessings! :)

Best wishes for the holiday season and Merry Christmas to you!!!

Lost and found! I had some emergency to take care of..finally I'm back to finish my commenting.

So I see we have a lot in common huh? Open minded, creative, love writing, art, poetry, craft and the metaphysical? Yeah me too! Not sure about the tattoo and henna though...

Your grand kids are so cute and your sons too! Jojo single? Care to send him my way? Smile :) He looks like my type...what type is that? The kind a spunky duck will love!

It's so unfortunate what your husband had to go through, I can only imagine. Thankfully though he has recovered well enough, and just as thankful that he has taken the decision to add some support and inspiration to person's in similar situation. That was really generous and strong of him. I truly admire him for it! Not many of us could be in a place where he has been, survive it all and turn that experience into selfless devotion to others. It requires someone great to do that! May god continue to bless him for the excellent service he is extending to others. Quote "One of the highest station of a human being is servitude to others"

god's blessings to you and your family

Hi Bambi - I so enjoyed your lens. I am on a research trip to find out how to do an About Me lens and you set a great example. I have fallen in love with astrology late in life, so to speak. Perhaps I'll pry my mind open a bit more by finding out about tarot cards and henna.
