Nick Upton's Lensography
So, Who Is Nick Upton?
I was born and brought up in Dartford, Kent, England but I have travelled quite a lot and currently I live in Bangkok, Thailand. I go home every year and it is always nice to see familiar faces and places, but living in a foreign country is quite exciting.
I have had careers as a Fingerprint Officer, ESL Teacher, Gardener, Grape Picker and Shelf-stacker but now I work full time on the internet and as a professional birdwatcher.
I first came to Squidoo in mid 2007 just to promote a few websites and blogs but more recently I have put my mind to making more and improved Squidoo lenses.
Here they are;
Before We Begin
Before getting to my lenses I would just like to thank all those who have given advice, encouragement and who have voted, favourited, commented or have bought something from my lenses.
Please comment on this lens and give any suggestions you may have.
Join The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds
I have been a member of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds since I was about 12 years old. This society has over 1.5 million members and is one of the biggest landowners in the UK. They do an amazing amount of wildlife conservation work, not only on their reserves, but working with private landowners, political lobbying and even overseas conservation projects. The RSPB are one of the most forward-thinking conservation bodies in the world and deserve your support.

Five T Shirts I Want For My Birthday
Whilst researching t-shirts for my lenses I have seen some that I really like. I have made a list of my top five t-shirts that anyone who knows me is welcome to buy me for my birthday!
Nikon Coolpix 7600
This is the camera I have used to take photos for my websites and Squidoo lenses. It is pretty much idiot proof and produces some nice results, particualrly on macro mode. It has a lot of settings for situations like night, dim light, sunset, action shots etc.
This is an easy-to-use camera which takes decent photos.
My Websites and Blogs
Apart from my Squidoo lenses I have a few websites and blogs; here they are, please take a look at them.
Thaibirding is a website I made to answer all the questions about birdwatching in Thailand that I had when I first went there.
- Dartford Waffler
I have been a wildlife enthusiast for as long as I can remember. This blog is where I record many of my wildlife sightings.
- Book Review Blog
This blog is a collection of short book reviews that I have written.
- Bird Nerd
Bird Nerd is a website that I am working on which provides free information on birdwatching sites in Britain.
- Guide to Aliens
This website features some cartoon aliens that I created.
Please let me know what you thought of my lensography and any of the lenses that are listed here. Thanks.
