Great Template For A Recipe Lens

Updated on December 9, 2012

Great Template for Any Recipe

Here's a great way to really make your recipes stand out on Squidoo. This template gives your recipe lenses a nice clean "recipe card style". Just copy and paste the html code into a text module and replace the text sections with your own.

It really couldn't be easier to make a great looking recipe lens. For the really brave, you can edit the code to change colours and box sizes. I created this template for some of my own recipe lenses. Now you can use it for yours.

There's also plenty of space for an affiliate banner or other advertising if you want to make some money from your recipe.

Card Style Recipe Template

Here's what the finished product looks like. It's a nice clean easy to read style for your recipes. Of course you could also use the basic template for other types of lenses as well. Resize the boxes, change colours, add images and affiliate links to promote just about anything

Put A Nice Big Heading Here

If you want to add a little introduction to your recipe, this is the place to do it.

If you need more space you

can easily change the size by

altering the "height" and "width"

commands in the html.

Put some additional info here or maybe even an image.

Again, you can change the size if you need too. Just make sure the left and right boxes have the same "height" and their total "width" adds up to "500"

If you use an image here, use the height and width commands in the image tag to match the size of the box

This is another spot you can put a nice big image and/or an affliate link if you want to sell something here

And lastly, the actual instructions for your recipe. Add as much information as you need here.

If you want to dress it up some more, include some relevant images in the code

You can change any of the colours within the html and the size and style of the borders too.

Try different things and see what happens. If it breaks, just change the code back and try again.

Here's the Actual HTML For the Template

Just replace the red text with your own

Below is the actual HTML code for the template. Just copy and paste the entire code into a text module and start editing. Replace all of the red text with your own content. You can personalise the code even more by changing colours and sizes. Trial and error is a great way to learn. If it breaks, just change it back and try again.
