50 Quiz Questions on USA State Birds

Updated on August 29, 2017

How Well Do You Know the US State Birds?

Every US state has a bird representing it. Would you recognize them all? This lens has all 50 state birds to quiz you! Here's an interesting bit of trivia: there are 50 states, but only 29 state birds. Why? Because some birds were chosen for more than one state! Each bird represents between one and seven different states. That'll put a little twist to these quizzes, because you won't be able to use elimination to help you guess!

The State Birds of the USA quiz is a great resource for homeschoolers, unschoolers, and everyone who loves birds or trivia. And of course, for those of you you just love quizzes!! If you're logged in to Squidoo, you'll earn 10 points for each quiz you take (even if you get the answer wrong!) It seems that the most common state bird is the cardinal, didn't know that....well, didn't know a lot of them. Goldfinches, Robins and Meadowlarks seem to be quite popular and I was surprised that a couple states have the Common Gull, the air rats do clean up for us I guess. I would guess that I stayed at about 50%, maybe a little less or more.

I guess on all but Indiana, Kentucky and Illinois which all have the Cardinal as their state bird. (I live in Indiana).
