How to achieve your goals is sometimes easier said than done , which reminds me of the saying, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail which is so true for most people..... that in itself is a goal most choose to follow. How to achieve your goals is something that needs to be well planed and defined. Goal setting is one of the most important steps in achieving success. What do you hope to be in the next 10, 15, or 20 years from now?, no matter what the time frame weather it's monthly, daily or even hourly, all goals you set for yourself has a beginning and a ending. Goals give one a sense of purpose and something to strive towards and when one overcomes the obstacles that can hinder one from reaching those goals the rest is clear sailing. But the most important thing to remember is that it takes commitment and discipline to reach your goals that is the price you must pay so decide on that before you start other wise it is futile to even think you will reach them.
Basic Goal Setting
Achieving your goals is quite a straight forward process, first of all make a list of the goals you would like to achieve in your life, once you have a list you can rearrange them in order of priority, from the goals you want first to the least realistic ones, to achieve your goal they must be realistic and attainable, for example you cannot join the police force if you do not have the required height, or you can't plan for a trip overseas if you don't have the money to get there. Now that you have your list of goals , take a separate piece of paper (one for each goal) and write your first goal at the top of the page, underneath write an action plan and write down a list of three or more things you will need to do to achieve your goal remember no gain without pain.

Now you can go to work on your goals, and when these obstacles arise you will have a action plan to conquer them, for example obstacles you may need to overcome could be laziness, time wasting, critical words, impatience etc....Do the same for each goal you have chosen on another page, keep your sheets of paper handy say in your diary or somewhere close by so you can check on your progress, establish S-M-A-R-T goals as you start to achieve each goal you will find that you will be more than ready to tackle the next one, because you will gain the momentum you need to get there. Just start with the easiest and most realistic one's first and save the long term one's for a later stage as you will be well prepared by that time and always remember to set yourself SMART goals.
