Living an unhealthy life is not what you prefer, but what if your lifestyle has a series of bad habits?
You live in a daily disorder, and you don't realize how unhealthy your life has become. To know how your habits are fussy, you must first know how they started. Lifestyle messes when you begin to overlook. In other words, you worry less about your chores or matters. The more you are careless, less healthy your routine becomes. Your life is full of wrong practices. The biggest sign of an unhealthy lifestyle is that your development stops. You become a non-achiever.
Through this article, find out if your style of living is healthy or not!

Analyze your daily patterns and ask yourself the following questions

  • In a day, how is your time passing?
  • The most of the time you spend, is it purposeful or idle?
  • Are you achieving something or not?
  • If you are not achieving, at least, are you learning anything or not?
  • In the whole process, how is the rest of your life progressing?
  • How effectively are you able to do your daily chores?
  • Do you own responsibility to do tasks or you run away from them?
  • Are you serious or casual about your daily life?

You certainly can answer these. You can because you know how you pass your days. You may fool others, but you can't fool or cheat yourself.

14 Signs of an Unhealthy Lifestyle

  • 1) No motive

You live Just for the heck of it. There are no goals to achieve. There is no plan to follow. That doesn't mean you have no dreams. You are ambitious, but there is no practical value to it. You are effective only in thoughts not in actions.

You think, smile, laugh, eat, and do some chores. Your time passes that way, but that time doesn't have any meaning.

Is such a lifestyle healthy? Motives are necessary to push you to achieve the set goals.

  • 2) You are dull

If you are employed, you accomplish tasks; fulfill obligations; do duties. You don't do these actively though. You lack interest. You are unhappy about these. The spirit is missing. You are as good as inactive.

If you are idle, you are too lazy to workout. You don't wish to do any personal or household work. You feel burdened to do tasks. That's how you don't live healthily.

  • 3) You are slow

You work, run errands, and meet expectations. Sure! Good job. But you are slow in pursuing them.

Vigilance, cautiousness, and carefulness are not the reasons for you being slow. It would be a good sign if those were the reasons.

You are slow because you are either lazy or not motivated. Maybe you are casual, or not a hard worker. Your vision is serious, yet it lacks proper planning and execution. The needed determination is absent too. That's why your goals do exist, but you are too slow to fulfill them.

  • 4) Your ties are loose

Be it for any personal or professional reasons, your social profile is of a low status. Contacts are vital and necessary. They prove very useful in getting work done. Their expertise guides you to achieve success.
If you lose ties with people for long, the gap that has evolved becomes difficult to cover.

  • 5) You are stuck

Your past was good. You liked how things had been. How different your life was and how much you had loved it.

Your present is different.

Because you live in the past, your present is unproductive. Time has moved on, not you though. You don't want to adapt to the newness. You fail to incorporate changes.

  • 6) Your sleep cycle
  • Ask yourself these four questions:
  1. What time do you sleep?
  2. When do you get up?
  3. Why do you sleep and get up at those schedules?
  4. Is your schedule refreshing or restless?

If you have valid explanations to these questions, then your program is healthy. If not, you know there is a problem, and it needs to resolve.
For example, you sleep very late at night for no reason. You have no work, no duties, no assignments and yet, you don't sleep on time. Instead, you do time pass, kill time, browse online, stay glued to the smartphone, etc. These habits are very damaging. Choose to ignore them, and see how life messes further.

  • 7) No discipline in schedules

The chores you need to do, the errands you have to run, the places you have got to go to, the people you have to meet; these have no adherence. You have genuine intentions to do these jobs, but you somehow end up not doing them. There maybe me many reasons, but most of the answers are unacceptable. For example, you couldn't do it because you are lazy, impunctual, or you didn't feel like doing it, etc.

  • 8) Delaying chores

Whether you want to buy groceries or wash clothes, or you want to have bath or pay bills; you delay your errands for no reason. You push them thinking you will do it in some time, or tomorrow. Maybe, you will do it next or whenever. You delay your chores for no reason. Is that a healthy habit?

  • 9) Cleanliness

Cleaning your house is a hurdle for you. Moreover, you don't even stop yourself from spreading dirt. You drop the wrappers while eating snacks. You keep the plate either on the dining table or by the bed after eating. You keep the utensils unwashed for days. You feel lazy to have bath regularly. Your sock stinks when you remove shoes. Your belongings have dirt piled up on them and so on.

  • 10) You live in a dump

When you get up, you leave your blanket unfolded.
Your cupboard has stuff all jumbled up.
Your dressing table and the bedside table are shabby.
Your shoes mostly lie out of the racket.
When you open the drawers of furniture, they have a dump of things.
You throw clothes, packets, packages, boxes in suitcases, cupboard, bed in a clumsy order. Aren't these the indicators of an unhealthy lifestyle?


Some Hygiene Signals

  • 11) You don't keep your car clean

Your car is untidy inside and outside. You head out to work in a dusty, cluttered car. You meet people and do tasks driving an unclean car. For some reason, you are too infrequent in using the car cleaning services.

  • 12) Your shoes are dirty from inside

You keep your shoes neat from the outside, otherwise people will notice. But on the inside, your shoes are unclean and stained.

  • 13) You wear clothes whole day still you don't wash it and wear it next

You have worn a top, shirt, or t-shirt for the most of your day, but maybe because you didn't sweat, or it could be you think your clothes haven't got dirty; you don't wash them. What happens is the clothes still have some odor that smells unpleasant later.

  • 14) You wear the same inner wear for two days or more

In the game of truth and dare, and also in other confessions, and discussions, I have heard people admit they wear the same inner wear for more than two days. That's because no one can notice. That doesn't give any consolation to hygiene, does it?

It's Not Just the Body, but Also the Mind, Actions and Lifestyle That's Unhealthy

Unhealthy means unfit. It doesn't apply to your body only. If you are ill, or not in-shape, you are not healthy. That's for sure. But when your thinking is improper, and your belief is inappropriate, that's also a signal of poor living. And when your actions have an influence of the factors mentioned above, or of any other negative drivers; your lifestyle is inappropriate and unfit, so it's unhealthy. It affects the health of your mind, and of your thinking, and of your abilities and capabilities, as well as of your doing the tasks. Your lifestyle as a whole become ill and unhealthy.
Look out for these signs and figure out how you can get rid of them to improve your lifestyle and enhance it further so as to live a better life.

      This article is very insightful and I do need to work on a few areas that were mentioned. Sometimes I like to think I'm just more focused on other things than to worry about a proper sleep schedule and I've also been guilty of wearing the same blue jeans a couple days in a row, but the main thing I would want to change is my procrastination. I am really bad to put off chores and so on. :/ Maybe I'll be able to make a positive change - wish me luck!
