An Essay for Teachers Day
“A Call for Teachers”
Teachers are the lamp bearers of enlightenment, knowledge and prosperity. They serve as the light when the way is dusky and guide perplex people. They are the people behind everyone’s successes and without them civilization will remain barbaric. They are the people whom we can call the builders of our nation for advancement and development.
As a pivotal person in the field of education, a teacher is the skipper of excellence who shapes us to be morally good and academically superb. They encourage us to do better and equip us with the essential knowledge, skills and attitudes so that when we go out into the world we won’t feel lost. They ensure that the goals of education are clear to attain school goals as well as all-round development of students, which is the ample goal of education. To safeguard the all-round development of students, a teacher must be harnessed with vital knowledge and understanding on his/her subject to handle and train student minds and skills academically and in co-curricular activities.
They are also like our parents in school who used to teach us and scold us when we have done something wrong, who used to inspire us to excel more and who used to discover what’s best in us as a person and as the future practitioners of our society. They show righteousness and lead the way for literacy. They mold us like clay into works of art as they weld us to be one of them someday.
A teacher cannot teach something what he doesn’t have. “Not all teachers can be considered as teacher for a teacher has standards and brands in order to be fully called as teacher”. They must have the knowledge and passion to teach students for they have the gargantuan responsibility in shaping the thoughts of the mind of the future. Not just because it’s their job but because they want to surmount illiteracy and become the helping hand in reaching others dream.
They are the noble people who have vast experiences who have already crossed the river of hardships, understand the obscure realities of the world and have the capability in steering the wheel without putting grease on it.
