Admiral Richard E Byrd and the Hollow Earth
Richard E. Byrd 1888-1957.
He joined the US Navy and graduated in 1912. He served until 1916 when he was medically discharged.
He was recalled to duty, in a retired status, in 1918 when he won his wings as a naval aviator.
In 1946 Byrd became Officer in Charge the United States Antarctic Programme.
I wrote the above to show that the Admiral seemed to be a rational sane professional.
During one of his early flights over the pole he kept a flight log and diary. On his return to base he was sent to the Pentagon for debriefing. After debriefing and interrogation he was held under guard for more than six hours. At the end of this time he was reminded that he was a military man and was sworn not to ever reveal the contents of his log or diary.
In 1956, when he knew he was close to death, he added to his diary that he still believed all that he wrote to be true and even though he had been sworn to secrecy, a thing that he had honored, he hoped the truth would one day come to light.
His flight log and diary, tell of him unexpectedly flying over a green valley near the pole. His aircraft was caught in some kind of tractor beam and he was escorted to a landing by two saucer like flying machines.
On landing he was escorted by large blond personnel down an elevator to a beautiful room, where he met “The Master”. The master told him that their race was far advanced to the surface dwellers and that they had recently become concerned by the use of atomic weapons on the surface. They had tried to warn the surface leaders of the dangers in pursuing this course but had been rebuffed. They had hi-jacked the Admiral as he was a respected member of the surface race and it was hoped he would be able to convince them of the error of their ways.
They then returned him to his plane and escorted it to a place over ice where they gave control of the aircraft back to him.
True or False
What would the Admiral have to gain by making this story up; especially knowing he would be sworn to secrecy.
Why would the Pentagon ignore him, unless they were already aware of the existence of this sub-surface race?
Could this explain why, even at the height of the “Cold War” the United States and the USSR were conducting joint scientific explorations in the Antarctic, the results of which, to my knowledge, have never been released.
Our history seems to be plagued with the disappearances of superior races; could this somehow coincide with their discovering of a sub surface race or be the formation of it?
Whether this diary is fact or fiction, it has played a major role in producing followers for a “Hollow Earth” theory.
