Advice for a School Beginner: A Fun Poem
Remember -
Round your Os like a neat, round ball,
Make your sticks stand straight and tall,
Sit up straight and quietly wait -
Never, ever turn up late.
Wash your hands and scrub your knees,
Comb your hair. Remember these
Rules and you will learn with ease;
Parents and teachers you will please.
Make no messy crossings out,
Know what your work is all about.
If you're careful and you try,
Soon you'll be as good as I!
If these hints you don't flout,
If corrected you don't pout,
You'll do well and soon find out
Praise is fun, have no doubt.
