"Ancient Aliens" Drinking Game
Aliens Among Us?
One of my favorite tv shows is the History Channel's "Ancient Aliens". I don't really think there are aliens(I hope not!) , but I do know some people who look like aliens, though. Angelina Jolie. An alien. Larry King. Possibly an alien. From a very scary planet.
What I really like about it is seeing each week what new spin they will put on this whole theory. I mean, we are now in the fifth season of this show. It must be winding down as it becomes less compelling. One crazy story feature "Aliens and Big Foot". The weakest show was the one with Leonardo Da Vinci. Da Vinci goes in a cave once and then at another time, disappeared for around two years. With these facts, the alien theorists are certain he received some alien knowledge since he is so skilled at everything.
On the other hand, I have learned about some compelling places in the world that can't be explained. One of the spookiest shows for me was the one about forbidden places, usually a mountain with strange occurrences. I couldn't sleep after viewing the photos of the Russians that went on a mountain excursion! Pumu Pukuu was an interesting place I didn't know about; I cannot explain the precision cuts of the laser-like edge of the stone there. I myself have been to Greece and have seen how statues of the demigods are portrayed as larger than humans and wondered....
But in general,it is such a silly show, it is perfect to have a drinking game while watching it. Be careful, it's an hour long show.
Books by Those On The Show
"As ancient alien theorists believe..."
I have noticed that the narrator says several phrases quite often, in fact, enough to where you could have a drinking game while watching the show. Presently, the show is on Friday night; perfect to stay home and watch George's hair. It's simple, really. All you have to do is listen for the phrase, "As ancient astronaut theorists believe...." , "As ancient alien theorists speculate....", and so on through the thesaurus for action verbs. The most repeated phrase is the first one.
The Hair That Attacked
George Tsoukalos speaks persuasively and engagingly often on the show, but I just can't stop looking at his hair. Usually it is standing on end (the photo is fairly tame). He loves to say, " It must be aliens." or "It can only be aliens." There are even internet memes for this.
There are some other characters on the show. One favorite is the Italian scientist and her funny accent: "There are som-ah characters-ah on the-ah show-ah." Oh, yes, you will drink to that so pay attention! David Childress has quite an accent too. I would love to go on that show and pretend to be a Southern Belle archaeologist! Haha! Southerners MUST be descended from the aliens. But how to explain the majority who look like they are out of "Deliverance"? Hmmm.... just gloss over it and don't talk about it. That works for all the video on elongated skulls. Never mind that mothers deformed their own baby's skulls. Just keep showing videos of Suzanne Sugarbaker from "Designing Women" over and over.
How to Play
We are looking for verbage here; hence the verbs in all caps.
As ancient alien theorists BELIEVE: Take One Sip
As ancient alien theorists CONTEND: Take One Sip
As ancient alien theorists SPECULATE: Take Three Sips
How did they build, draw, plan this? It can only be aliens (George Tsoukalos): Drink the whole drink.
The Italian Scientist lady- Take a sip for every extra vowel- ah that she adds to words.
December 21st, 2012- Mayans' calendar ends. Party like it's 1999. Drink three drinks.
