The Worst Weather Conditions Are A Sign Of The Last Days?
Beautiful Historic Towns in Italy Nestled in the Mountains
Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Are These Signs Of The Last Days?
Devastating deaths and damages from an earthquake that destroyed such tourists areas as Pescara Del Tronto and #Amatrice, Italy. Nora O'Donnell, of #CBS This Morning expressed how, "The number of earthquake victims in Italy jump dramatically overnight. The desperate search for survivors intensifies. We just made it into one of the hardest hit towns for the world's first look at damage there. The toll in the Italian earthquake rose overnight to nearly 250. New #drone video this morning shows the scope of the destruction in one medieval town about 36 hours after the quake. A frantic search is underway for people that are still trapped." Correspondent Seth Doane, of CBS This Morning was one of the first reporters in #Accumoli, Italy which is northeast of Rome. HIs endearingly sympathetic report stated, "The number of people in these mountain top villages swells during the summer because they are popular vacation destinations. The population in this town nearly doubles but that means the death toll is higher too."
My husband and I were tourists who visited one of these historic towns in Italy. It was awe inspiring to walk up the mountainous regions and overlook the majestic countryside. Sounds of Italian music played in our ears as we passed through the city of Livorno, Italy which is located in the mountains similar to the town of Amatrice, Italy where the devastating earthquake hit. Our love and prayers go out to the residents of these cities.
A Destructive Earthquake Hit New Zealand and Japan
A 6.3 #earthquake in #New Zealand, crumbled homes and buildings like they were made of paper. A man and woman was in the cathedral about to get married as it fell around them. Residents were going about their daily lives, when this destructive force changed their lives forever.
In #Japan, a powerful earthquake killed thousands and many are still unaccounted for. Homes and personal items float in the Pacific ocean daily. Aftershocks, terrorize the residents of Japan's constantly. The fear of contamination from the nuclear plant looms within the area. Are these natural destructive forces, a clear sign that we are in the last days of this wicked world? Did Jesus warn us that these type of events would occur?
Notice in the book of Matthew 24:3 and 7. Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, as his disciples approached him and asked, "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?" Jesus then explained, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places." (New International Version) These are warnings that we see fulfilled today. They point to the end of this system or age, just as Jesus explained. Whether, you agree that these warnings prove that we are in the last days, is up to each individual. The denial or pretense that this is not true, does not change the fact that daily, mankind deals with these destructive natural forces that penetrate and comsume our very lives. Are we happy about the destruction of this wicked world? Our forthright answer, remains with us personally.
