Biblical Archaeology, World History And The Myth Of Racial Supremacy

Updated on February 23, 2016

The Invention of "race" was needed to justify American Slavery

The popular belief is that the first slaves were taken to Virginia in 1619 by the English. However, the first slaves were experimented with almost 100 years earlier when the Spanish brought a group to what is present day South Carolina in 1526. In any case African descendants have been in America for approximately 400 years.

My humble beginnings began in 1952 on Glen Wyld sugar cane plantation in St. Mary Parish Louisiana. My parents were uneducated, not because education was unimportant to them but because they never had a chance to acquire any. My mother by far was the brains who had a third grade education, enough to pass on to me who began first grade having never seen the inside of a kindergarten or pre-school, the rudiments of the basics. My father was a first grader long enough to learn to write his name.

I remember spending vacations in Houston Texas at my Uncle Buddy. Uncle Buddy was my paternal grandmother's oldest son. I began making these trips alone when I was about 10 years old. The Greyhound bus ride to Houston from Morgan City Louisiana was about an eight hour trip. My grandmother, a very strong woman always made sure the bus driver would allow me to sit right behind him up front. I never sat in the back of the bus.

History is an extraordinary subject but European Scholarship has distorted, hidden, presented it as myth, or allowed it to be taught from a one dimensional perception of the rest of the world. But Truth has a way of distinguishing itself from facts, myth and legends. God is amazing in how He allows knowledge to surface at just the right time .

The Bible, the oldest History Book in the world has gained a renewed respect among serious scholars because of Archaeology. One of the earliest archaeologists was the Assyriologist Austin Henry Layard. He discovered the Biblical city Nineveh and in 1849 published Nineveh and Its Remains . Henry Rawlinson a British Army Officer and Archaeologist was first to decipher ancient cuneiform. His work further supported Layard's Nineveh discoveries and the stories of the Bible. These men were not considered christians in no way so their contributions to History were totally unbiased academic.

The ancient world didn't have a "race" problem in the sense that only Europeans were the masters of civilization. The problem of "race" is a modern problem created by Social Science. More on this later. Slavery has always existed. However, the slavery imposed on Africa was different. Stemming from the 15th. century modern "racism" can be traced to philosophical ideas of Aristotle and Immanuel Kant.

Aristotle believed that superior people should rule inferior people, and superior people, according to Aristotle, were Greek. Greeks, he believed had the high spirit of "the northern races" and the intelligence of "the eastern races." He wrote that Greeks should not be slaves but that they should be slave owners1.

What an iconic statement; "that superior people (Greek) should rule inferior people, and further Greeks should own slaves". It is quite ironic that Aristotle should break away from his teacher Plato and espouse different ideas. Where could such notions of owning slaves come from?

"How it happened that Egyptians came to the Peloponnese, and what they did to make themselves kings in that part of Greece , has been chronicled by other writers; I will add nothing, therefore...." (Histories VI:55

The Negroes of Africa have by nature no feeling that rises above the trifling. Mr. Hume challenges anyone to cite a single example in which a Negro has shown talents, and asserts that among the hundreds of thousands of blacks who are transported elsewhere from their countries, although many of them have even been set free, still not a single one was every found who presented anything great in art or science or any other praiseworthy quality, even though among the whites some continually rise aloft from the lowest rabble, and through superior gifts earn respect in the world. So fundamental is the difference between these two races of man, and it appears to be as great in regard to mental capacities as in colour. The religion of fetishes so widespread among them is perhaps a sort of idolatry that sinks as deeply into the trifling as appears to be possible to human nature. A bird’s feather, a cow’s horn, a conch shell, or any other common object, as soon as it becomes consecrated by a few words, is an object of veneration and of invocation in swearing oaths. The blacks are very vain but in the Negro’s way, and so talkative that they must be driven apart from each other with thrashings. Philosophical Misadventures: Immanuel Kant

The first recorded geneological chart is The Table Of Nations in Genesis 10-11. From this list all mankind can trace its beginning.

Abraham is described in the Bible as a wandering Aramaean. His family is Semitic;[ his ancestral home was in the north, in the region of Haran, because all the names on his ancestral genealogy of Genesis 11 (from Noah to Abram) are found as place names in that region (by archaeology and history). In general, Abraham could be called a Semite, an Aramaean, an Amorite (western Semite) who probably spoke old Amorite, as well as Akkadian which was the lingua franca http://www.christianleadershipcenter.org/bibarch2.htm#mce_temp_url#

Abraham, an Amorite, a Semite and a wandering Aramaean descended through Ham, the Black son of Noah. Thanks to the work of Biblical Archaeology racial supremacy days are numbered. God never intended us to enslave each other but to serve each other.

But Jesus called them [unto him], and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. Matthew 20:25

Race or modern racism is a modern myth, that the experts have labelled a "social construct" that grew out of early Greek Philosophy through Aristotle. Aristotle in his Politics was adamant in his beliefs that Greeks were by nature masters over non-Greeks and, he added women. That Southern Greece had been colonized by Egypt in pre-History is chronicled in the History but is one of the best kept secrets the world has never heard about. Modern historians like Martin Bernal, author of Black Athena is still under attack by Western Academia who sees him as a cultural traitor. His Ancient Model of civilization (the Afro-Asiatic civilization model) totally destroyed the Aryan or Greek model.

if Aristotle grew up in the shadow of Egypt it makes perfect sense that he might embrace thoughts of cultural or racial differences and advocate Greece as the progenitor of World Civilization. Not taking into account his experiences with non-Greeks leaves no basis for his philosophical musings on race and slavery but In any case Biblical Archaeology is in the forefront of setting the Historical Record straight, along with a new crop of Truth seeking historians and others.
