Library Books for Third Grade

Books 3rd Grade

The Books 3rd Grade list includes most of the best books for young adults in 3rd grade. This site provides links to free book resources and links to purchase many of the books and additional resources, when available. There are literally millions of titles that could have been placed in this list. Every attempt was made to include only the best teacher-selected titles. These are the books teachers use most often. Over two hundred teachers were polled in order to make the list of the best books for young adults.

If you don’t find what you’re looking for on this list, you might try the book list for 2nd or 4th grade. It's undeniable that the difference between a 2nd grade book and a 4th grad book can be quite significant, so I recommend that you select books based on your child's ability level more so than their age. For that reason, I would encourage you to consider looking at several grade levels around your targeted age. Gifted children might benefit from something more challenging, and remedial readers might benefit from a title below grade level. Please don't limit yourself to only one grade level.

Yes, I've wondered about adding this. It's well known for figurative language, specifically onomatopoeia. These rankings are based on popularity among teachers and students. That being said, maybe it's time for a review of Froggy Gets Dressed.

      Best wishes.
