CUTTING CORDS & THE CHAOTIC TEACHER

“The difference between school and life? In school, you're taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, you're given a test that teaches you a lesson.”

~Tom Bodett

As a clairvoyant medium, I facilitate healing energy work. I look deeply into the past to get a glimpse of the ‘energetic cords’ that bind us to very unhealthy and, oftentimes destructive, behavior patterns. I then cut those cords to help release us from that unconscious repetitive behavior.

Utilizing my clairvoyant ability, I “see” mom and dad (going back to early childhood) doing their thing and how profoundly it affected us, especially prior to the age of five and before the development of intellectual capacity. Toxicity was absorbed and assimilated into our very cellular being as we headed out into the world to repeat behavior that continually failed to help us achieve our hearts desires. We often made choices with harsh consequences attached. We attracted unhealthy people as playmates and partners, we dealt with illness and depression and we allowed emotional and financial impulsivity to lead. We all deal - and struggle with - our own version of the Law of Attraction. No one is exempt from this, least of all me.

We are all teachers, demonstrated by how well we do something – or how poorly. Oftentimes, an outstanding teacher comes into our life to stir things up. They create nothing short of chaos in our lives. Inadvertently, or seemingly so, they teach us to speak up, how to proceed with love even when angry, how to take responsibility for our actions and how to be quiet and observe. Some teachers pay a high price in order to deliver these messages. They may experience loneliness, be ostracized or experience severe personal setbacks. Doing their “Soul Job” well, they stir our ego and push us into action. Our Soul is eternally grateful to these teachers.

I truly believe that we choose these teachers for exactly who they are and how they behave. Of course, we have no conscious idea that we are doing so, but our Soul knows. Our brilliant Higher Self knows that circumstances will play out in a particular way, so we call in these experiences to teach us something very vital to our growth process.

When dealing with such a teacher, we have a stellar opportunity to do a quiet self-inquiry into why we chose this experience. By doing this, we place ourselves in a very powerful position – a stance that promotes growth rather than victimization, blame or shame. These emotions are all normal under stressful circumstances, however, I vote for alchemizing them into a golden opportunity to evolve by grasping the valuable and timely lesson(s) presented.

Can you identify an experience with a Chaotic Teacher? What did you learn? If the answer is, “nothing”, not to worry. You will have as many similar experiences as necessary to help you learn what your Soul deems important. Once the lesson is learned you will no longer need to a repeat performance.
