Can Truth be Relative?

Updated on November 1, 2013
Shall we fly like the eagle?
Shall we fly like the eagle?
Shall our eagle lose its freedom?
Shall our eagle lose its freedom?
What will our tomorrow bring?
What will our tomorrow bring?
Will our tomorrow be so bleak?
Will our tomorrow be so bleak?
Where will our road take us?
Where will our road take us?
Daunting challenges
Daunting challenges
A new and brighter day awaits.
A new and brighter day awaits.
Shall the sun rise upon a new and better day?
Shall the sun rise upon a new and better day?

Questions

Can the bearer of a truth be dependable, as an honest speaker of facts,

Telling all within listening parameters, that which they speak of, is exact?

When is the truth accepted by us all, not just applicable, as right for a few,

Does that which is good for a selective population, include me and you?

When Lady Justice may lift her sword, and her balancing scales just so,

Do we accept that a just solution is made, and this undeniably, we know?

Can there be true fairness and a rightful decision, all will benefit its news,

Could there be some who will always be deprived, theirs, freedom to lose?

What is a nation's response, when those who would challenge, make a case,

Based upon freedom, a righteous life, then to change its meaning in their face?

How do we accept wrongs that are seen, the grave misdeeds and its disgrace,

The people who were raised, taught right from wrong, in being the human race?

When does a congress representative of us all, be what we're supposed to see,

Not just a group of "yes men" and false, but to stand up and truly genuine, to be?

Can socialism be just a false accusation, and Communism to be so close behind,

Will democracy and rights, stand up to the test, or will we soon, a new life to find?

Will the forefathers, the founders of us all, not to cry sorrowful tears in their dismay,

If they were to see the results of their works, and how such things are so dismal today?

Can this nation still weather the storms, so prominent and daunting, in their stance,

Only with the fondest memories and following their lead, this will be our greatest chance!
