Can You Answer a Question?

Updated on August 22, 2012

Why do I hide from man what God knows to be true?
If what Pilot asks is unknown then who was Jesus talking to?
“Forgive them father for they know not what they do”
And yet my conscience always reminds of what he already knew

I wonder if I could give all my money away
My children are not birds of the air that have no need to pray
What temptation will God accept if I ask to be sheltered in his way?
Will the faith of a human being spread its wings over his family?

What arms must I take up to defend law breakers?
Can a nation turn the other cheek as taught by our maker?
He said, “Blessed are the peacemakers”
Are we to pray or obey the scoundrel flag wavers?

What sin that I love can deliver me into his arms?
What purity of purpose can be substituted for alms?
How many times must I read the psalms
For my soul to be placed into God’s palms?

Interesting breakdown into questions of what Jah requires of us. Your comment about the birds hit home; I had the same thought many years ago when it was just me and my son (and whoever "up there" watching) against the worlds. Very well done. We should question ourselves and our faith more often! Thank you! Up, awesome, -......
