Learning is a never ending adventure, a lifelong process that is important in all aspects of life. You should never stop learning. One way to stay active long after you left school is with college courses on DVDs and CDs. For lifelong learners like yourself, The Teaching Company has created more than 250 courses that cover a plethora of different subjects.

Learning about things that interest you can be both enjoyable and rewarding. It can lead to a better quality of life, it can boost your confidence, it can transform you. Learning is not just about economic success, it's also about personal growth. And always remember, it's never too late to learn.

"Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young." - Henry Ford

"The purpose of learning is growth, and our minds, unlike our bodies, can continue growing as we continue to live." - Mortimer Adler

Buying College Courses On DVD

If you’re looking for college courses on DVD, look no further. The Teaching Company (www.thegreatcourses.com) produces top quality college-level courses, which feature the lectures of renowned professors from leading universities. A wide variety of subjects are covered:

  • History
  • Science & Mathematics
  • Arts & Music
  • Literature
  • Religion
  • Philosophy
  • Business and economics
  • Social sciences
  • And more

All together I believe they have around 300 courses available. I myself simply love the way they are made. Recently, I found a new appreciation for science, especially physics and cosmology. I was never much of a science person, but after getting my hands on a few TTC courses, I can now confidently say that I understand. Here is my experience: the lectures that I watched were interesting, engaging, lively, and quite easy to understand, despite the difficult subject. What I gained from them are concepts, an understanding of how things work. I didn’t have to worry about the mathematics behind it and this is really what’s great about it.

You learn a lot. Hey, the length of a course can range from 12 to up to almost 50 hours, so you have to learn something, right? I know I will definitely be learning a lot more in the future.

The only downside of these courses is that they are quite expensive, so here is a bit of advice when buying them - The Teaching Company puts almost every course on sale at least once a year. The courses on sale are truly a bargain, you can save hundreds of dollars, so check their website for special offers regularly. You can save quite a substantial amount of money this way.

Another piece of advice – once you are done with the course, you can sell it on eBay and recoup a good deal of your initial investment.

Now go check their site, I know you’ll find something of interest.

Here is how TTC courses look like
