      Wonderful lens. It is a good refresher for me concerning the colors. I am new to Squidoo and love the posts ant I have read. As a dance minister who recently moved to a new area, I miss the ministry. While I am waiting for God to direct my path, I am keeping my mind and spirit fresh and excited. I have read some of the books you recommend. they are great. i enjoy reading, learning, and reviewing anything about dance ministry, flags, pageantry, etc. thank you for this lens and the resources.

      Hello Bernadette,

      You may be able to go to your local book store to see if they can order the book for you. To purchase online you really need to have some form of a credit or debit card to purchase items.

      @anonymous: Hello Bruce,

      With each color there is no fixed meaning. When you look through a concordance you may find different applications for the colors. Just as it takes several colors to make fire or water, the colors used in your logo could have a meaning of the combinations or separate meanings to paint a larger picture. I would first start with the name of the church, what is the heart behind the meaning of the name. It is the same with the colors.

      I hope this will be helpful in your own search for further use of colors. If you would prefer to contact me, please go to my website www.creationsanewflags.com to find my e-mail address to send a picture.

      @anonymous: Hello Carla,

      I have used small flags in my home to spiritually cleanse it for many years. I have found that when I decide to go through my home to pray I can easily get distracted by things I can find to do. When I have a flag in my hand, I can remind myself of what I am doing and stay on track. I have used fire flags for cleansing, water flags for healing and the red (blood) flags for covering and sealing the work in my home.

      When we set up a standard we are making a proclamation that the Lord's presence is welcome in this place and the enemy has no right and is trespassing. He then has to leave. He cannot stay unless he has been invited.

      We need to take a stand and take back territory that has been lost. We can do this with flags, our words, reading the bible out loud and listening to good christian music. It is through our praise we can have victory. Though our worship, God's presence is manifested.

      Let the Holy Spirit lead you. He will show you what is needed.

      @CreationsAnewFl: Hi, the minister I mentioned above just stood outside a property with the flags but did not wave them, but the outcome was still the same. As I don't have any knowledge on how or what way to wave a flag, would just having the coloured flags in my home and declaring what they were intended for and leaving them in each room for 24 hrs or however long I felt the spirt was guiding me to until the whole had been covered. Would this be sufficient. This idea came to my mind, that was why I started to do a bit of research. But I was uncertain and a little concerned about doing things that pertain to the power of God.

      @anonymous: Yes, flags are used to break down the powers and principalities of the air. That can be in your home, community or any place you have authority. Flags can change the atmosphere, just the same as when we lift up the name of Jesus, the enemy has to flee. We can take back territory - to taking back what the enemy has stolen. Thank you Jesus for giving us that authority! To God be all the glory!

      Hi thank you for the info on the flags. I listened to a male speaker a number of years back and this was the first time I had even heard about the use of flags let along what they meant. This minister used them by the leading of the Holy Spirit to invite the prescence of God into a place. He stood outside and when asked told people that royalty was coming. Within a week or so from this happening the place where he had been was raided for a large amount of drugs. What I would like to know is that by having particular flags in our own homes would this clean our homes from things of the past and invite the blessing of God in, in regards to the flags used?

      @anonymous: Hello Corin,

      The best person to ask is the flag maker as there was something that compelled them to make the flag. Yet what comes to my mind is a heart of flesh for the pink inside the Ark of the Covenant which is represented by the gold trim.

      @anonymous: Hello Monica,

      35 feet of billow seems pretty long. You could possibly do 3 billows from 12 to 15 feet long of each of the colors which you appropriately chose. If you have a need for it to be one piece 35 feet long you could either dye it the colors you want (I would prefer to use silk) or but the 4 yards of the fabric you prefer and cut them into 3 even lengths. I would keep the yellow in the middle to separate the 2 darker colors. I hope these 2 ideas will be of help to you.

      @anonymous: Hello LaKeisha,

      Angel wing flags can be made simply from a half circle and inserting a wooden dowel in the sleeve to fly your flag with. Of course you can also change up the shape of the half circle to create a unique flag. I prefer to use silk as it flows so beautifully. I buy my silk on line, Dharma is a great resource. There is also a wide variety of fabric in your local sewing stores. Allow the Lord to lead you, He created creativity, so His resources are unlimited.

      Gee I guess I forgot to add the lilac color to this site. I had someone tell me that it was just a pretty color and had no special meaning. Actually this color has a wonderful meaning which can be found through the link just above that says Creations Anew with the butterfly.

      A wonderful friend of mine that used to own a nursery for plants had ordered some Rose of Sharon and was surprised when she got them She had expected more of a rose colored flower but found them to be more of a lilac in color.

      Enjoy exploring, Suzi

      Hello Jackie,

      Being a sign painter many years ago, we had a book on many different font styles. We had to draw them all out by hand according to the size we needed. Today we have a wonderful resource right on our own computers. I have used Word to lay out the words I want to use. You can alter them by spacing them out, bold it and make the letters in italic. You can format the letters to be outlined so it doesn't use so much ink if you are making the letters that are not too large to fit on 8 1/2 by 11 paper and then trace the letters directly onto the silk.

      Recently I purchased a projector to do very large lettering instead of graphing the letters onto a larger pattern. If you do not have a projector you can print your lettering on graph paper and then decide how large you need to make your squares to graph to a larger size. I pray this will be of help to you.

      Blessings, Suzi

      Dusha,

      When using words on a flag it is best to keep it very short and direct in the message. There are many wonderful names for our Lord, Savior and Creator. If you have a concordance do some research on the different names of God. It may even lead you to specific colors to use as well. Just give it a try to have fun worshiping in the presence of the Lord.

      Blessings, Suzi
