Today I'm continuing with Did You Know That... facts - a hub series dedicated to quick and interesting facts. Here are five facts for this week...


Did you know that the smallest horse in the world is just 17 inches tall (44.5 cm)? Thumbelina lives on a farm in St. Louis, Missouri. She is a horse, not a pony (check out what's the difference between miniature horses and pony), but she is even smaller than pony. Her weight is just 57 pounds (26 kg).


Did you know that voltage in the lightning is about 100 million volts per meter?


Did you know that the pupil expands up to 45% when a person looks at something he likes?


Did you know that the biggest emerald in the world is nearly the size of a watermelon? It weights 25 pounds (11.5 kg) and costs about $1.15 million.


Did you know that the sperm length of the mouse exceeds the sperm length of an elephant?
