Excited about going back to school?
Who is excited about going back to school? The parents who send their children off to school or the children who are starting school? I remember when I started going to school as a young girl, I was excited because of the new clothes that my parents would buy and the new shoes. I don't know what made me more excited the thought of going to school with new clothes and shoes or the idea of learning something new...hmmm, that is a question I need to think about or maybe we all need to think about for a bit.
How many of you can remember that first day of school when you were young or even when you were going to middle school or high school? Were you excited to see your friends, maybe the idea of learning something new made you want to go to school. Did getting the supplies for your class make you excited about the first day of school?
Now as parents, do you find it a relief to send your children to school after having them around the house all summer? I know to some parents it wouldn't really matter because they home school their children but what about those parents who send their children off to public or even private school? When it comes to the preschoolers, I know it can be emotional for the parent who takes them to school for the very first time.
What is true though that once school starts it can go really fast. So by the time the children start going to school, before you know it the last day of school approaches, how many of you feel that way? It is like the connection between a parent and a child after so long of being together at home and raising them before they go off to school for the first time.
I know that this is more focused on children, but as a college student have you ever been excited about going back to school? College is different than elementary, middle and high school. For adults attending college, it may excite them because they are going to be able to get that one degree they have been working hard at. They may have other reasons but that is one of the reasons I would see a college student wanting to return back to school.
