Courser.org: Free Online Classes from Stanford?
At this stage of my life, I ponder possibilities for my next chapter. I must have purpose to get up every morning. For the past year I have attempted to enroll in an online paralegal program. I ignore all of the private schools that offer a certificate in 9 months. At the end of the 9 months, you have a worthless piece of paper from a “who” school and owe $50,000. The expense is prohibitive for 4-year college and university programs. Community college programs are few and some require that you get a two-year degree. I have no need for an AA degree!
Free Classes from Stanford
While flipping through a magazine in my orthopedic doctor’s office, I discovered that there are prestigious universities that offer free, nada, online classes. The classes are not part of their standard curriculum and do not earn college credit. However, some of the classes will get you a certificate and they all provide opportunity for personal growth.
IF you are interested, check out courser.org. I see several classes I want to take. Universities include: Princeton, Stanford, Rice, Duke, George Washington, and schools abroad!
Remember, it takes self discipline to complete these classes. The classes are taught by professors who teach regular classes.
