George Mason University
George Mason University was established in 1957 as a part of the University of Virginia. In 1972, it separated into an independent institution. GMU is widely known for its economics, computer science, law, and creative writing departments. GMU's economic department won the nobel prize twice. With over 32,000 sutdents GMU is one of the most diverse schools in the nation centered around Washington DC, which makes job finding and internship opportunistic perfect.
