This is the continuation of my previous hub on science, history of science. After the rising of Greek, we divide the history Greek history of science in to four. First one is Ionian era.it happened in B.C6th century. Greek science developed from the Greek ancient science. That was the lifetime of Thales and Pythagoras. Pythagoras invented the historic formula called Pythagoras theorem for a right-angled triangle. However, Thales put the first gear for the studies of Greek geometry. He only developed hypothesis of line, which possess only length not width. He discovered that the ratio between all object and its shadow is same.

Second is the Athenian era between BC 480 to BC330.during this time the Greek civilization reached its top.Democretes, Socrates, Plato, Aristotle these famous historians lived in this era. However, it is common that when something reaches top then it will start fall down. That only happened here.

The independent Greek state perished and new Kingdome of Alexander rose. The science again linked to ancient culture. Alexandria, their museum became the Centre of scientific studies.in leadership of Archimedes, Hippocras, and Euclid’s the science very much developed. This third era named as Alexandrian era.

The last era was roman era. However, this era was not so rich with basic discoveries. However, this era links ancient Greek science to modern science discovaries.Pleany and Ptolemy are the well-known scientists of this era.

Science in ancient India.

There was tremendous development in science in India in those years.in literature, statecraft, mathematics, physics, and medical science there was tremendous development.it happened in BC 6th century. The time of Gotham Budha.Ayurvedha.But, we do not know much about their life history.

Ayurveda.

The oldest biologic theories are from the books called “Bhela samhitha” and “Charakasamhitha”.This happened in AD 100.The other famous medical scientist from India was Shushrudha.Charaka samhitha mainly deals with medicament. The book from Shushrudha “Shushrudha samhitha” deals with surgeries. In his book there was mentioning about plastic surgery, Brain surgery.

There are more books on medical science in those days. Ashtanga sangraha” by Vridha Vaghbada,”Ashtanga hridhaya” by Vaghbada. (Both the books happened between AD 7th and 8th century). In this “Ashtanga hridhayam” was the most popular tome. This tome is taking for reference by doctors now also.Ayurvedha is the most effective medical branch since it will not cause any side effects. During those years, another branch of medical Unani science got popularity.Unani was the contribution from Arabians.

Astronomy

The famous astronaut from India were Aryabhatta I,Varahamihira,Bhrahmaguptha,Bhaskara I and II.Vadeswara and Aryabhatta II.it is believing that Aryabhatta 1st born in AD 476.the famous book of Aryabhatta 1st named Aryabhatiya wrote in AD499.this is the oldest complete Astronomic book we got.

We can see that like medical science India got strong past in astronomy also. This science stood strong up to 18th century. However, after this, this science in India went in negative acceleration. However, in Europe we can see great discoveries in those days.
