What is a PDF Document?

PDF is an abbreviation of Portable Document Format, which was developed by Adobe System in 1993 so as to enable computer users to share written files of every sort without any change in format of the document. The most important feature of PDF is that it can work on every sort of operating system. Likewise, no changes can be made in the format of the PDF document. That is the reason; it is very difficult to make any changes in the PDF document and edit it according to your choice. Hence, it got immense popularity in this age of science and technology due to this remarkable feature.

Now, the question is, “How to convert a PDF document into an image?” There are many ways to convert a PDF document into images, but the one I am going to teach you is very simple and does not require any software or online service. You don’t have to pay for purchasing a special software or hiring an online service for the purpose of converting a PDF document into an image. A PDF is a file, which cannot be edited like word, PowerPoint or any other document. You need a trick or a special software package to do it. The method that I am going to teach you is explained below:

Detailed Procedure

Step No. 1

First of all, you need to install Foxit Reader to read the PDF document. You can download it from filehippo.com or any other source or just google the word Foxit Reader and you will get the required results. Open a page and download the Foxit Reader. Once, you have completed the process of installation of the above mentioned software, run it. Open the PDF document and switch over to the page that you want to convert into an image. Look at the following screen shot:

As the selected area has been copied to the clipboard, you will have to paste it somewhere else so that you can get the image. To this, open a new Power Point Document, right click and click the paste option. You will see that an image of the selected page has been copied to the Power Point. Now, to save it as a picture, you will have to point the cursor to the picture and right click. A dial box will open, wherein the option Save as Picture is required to be clicked. Look at the following screen shot:

Step No. 4

Now save the image as a picture. When you click on the Save as Picture, a new dial box will open. Here you can select various options to save your image. You can save the image as JPEG, TIF and PNG file. Give it a name and save it in your desired folder or destination.
