Hypnosis for creative thinking

Nicolaus Copernicus

A belief above question

Nicolaus Copernicus (1473-1543) a Polish priest challenged the world view that all the planets including the Sun revolved around the Earth. The Greek philosopher, Aristotle (384-322BC), came up with the idea that the Earth was the centre of the Universe and it was just taken for granted that is was flat The picture Aristotle painted was that the Earth was stationery and all the other planets including the Sun orbited the Earth which stayed fixed. This view of our planetary system fitted in well with the doctrine of theologians and as such the theory received so much support that eventually it became a fact! Once a theory is accepted as fact it is closely guarded and in some case defended to the death. Our beliefs help us make sense of the world we live in and so form the foundations of our life and the way we live. It is also these same beliefs accepted as fact that stand in the way of change. We forget that a fact once started off as an idea in someone’s mind. Like a baby in its mother’s womb the idea grows and eventually is born when it leaves the womb of the mind in the words used to describe it. When enough people like the idea, the idea becomes accepted as truth and once that happens, it becomes above questioning. We rarely question something we believe to be true because once the idea is labelled true it is then protected by the mind. The mind protects what you believe to be true in the same way that you protect your computer from spam. The critical factor is like a filter that stands between us and everything we observe. If what we observe does not fit our world view it is automatically rejected. This is the reason why hypnosis is so effective in the treatment of illness created by the mind. Once a condition created by the mind becomes accepted as a person’s reality then it becomes part of everything they consider to be true.

I am fat becomes a reality so no amount of reasoning is going to change this truth accepted by the individual at the subconscious level. In order to affect change the critical factor must be suspended like disabling the anti spam rule on your computer temporarily. Once the critical factor has been suspended through hypnosis the individual is free to entertain ideas that would otherwise have been sent to the recycle bin or permanently deleted.

Making Change Easy

Copernicus in hypnosis sees the truth

Copernicus was a perfectionist and a Mathematician.  He loved order and could not resolve the anomalies he perceived in the way the world was explained by Aristotle and Plotemy (87-150AD), an Egyptian astronomer who came 5 centuries later.  Ptolemy refined Aristotle’s theory but did not refute it.  Copernicus performed some simple experiments and made simple observations that only a man with his critical factor suspended could do.  He was open to questioning everything even those things accepted as “true”. Copernicus had to have been in a natural state of hypnosis to be open to new ideas and especially ideas that challenged what everyone accepted as fact. He noticed that the Earth’s shadow on the Moon during an eclipse was always round.  Could nobody else in all those years see that?  He concluded that the Earth had to be spherical and not flat as everyone else believed.  He also noticed that when he watched ships sail off into the horizon the last thing to vanish was the top of the sail.  What else could an intelligent person conclude?

Science eventually usurps religious dogma

Copernicus is afraid to rock the boat

It took Copernicus nearly 15 years to publish his manuscript explaining how he saw things.  He was terrified of the wrath that would be directed at him in questioning the “truth”.  The truth that was accepted at the time put the Earth at the centre of the Universe and that fitted in well with religious doctrine.  What Copernicus proposed would be in direct conflict with how theologians would have us see the world we live in.

To question religious doctrine at that time meant you not being merely sent to the recycling bin or jail but you ran the risk of being permanently deleted as a heretic and burnt at the stake.  It took Copernicus a long time to publish his findings but it wasn’t until much later, in fact, over 100 years after his death that a few men entertained his ideas and went on to create the truth we now hold about our planetary system today.

Learn the Art of Self Hypnosis

Hypnosis for a more enlightened world view

Men like Galileo, Kepler and Newton built on the ideas of Copernicus and though sometimes it takes centuries for the world to change its beliefs about reality the walls of Jericho always do fall. There are always enough people born who have the ability to suspend the critical factor enabling them to question what everyone else believes to be true. It is this group of people in every generation that is responsible for propelling the human race forward. You too can choose to be one of these people by using hypnosis to suspend the filter that stops you entertaining ideas that do not fit your conditioned belief system. We all have the power to temporarily disable this filter at will and that power is called hypnosis. Learning the art of self hypnosis allows you to use this power to not just to affect the changes you want in your life but also to allow you to see things from different perspectives so that you too can make discoveries just like Copernicus and contribute to a new and more enlightened world view.
