I Am Sick And Tired Of You

Updated on August 12, 2010

I Am Done With You Forever

You came in from the open door

I thought you should of knocked

Then I certainly wouldn't of let you walk through

You are not wanted here

You really don't care what I think

I tell you to leave and get out of my life

You haunt me like a ghost who won't take a hint

I would like you to vanish for good

But when I least expect it you show up once again

I feel it

It could be an ache that I won't admit

I runny nose that aggrivates me to no end

My throat that tickles and is scratchy

A headache that keeps pounding

I plan on putting a stop to all your shannanagains wait and see

You will not trick me no more

You will not get my tempture to rise

You will not even get a hi

I will get rid of you in a flash

I will not share any of my warm chicken soup

I will not cover you with blankets when I get the chills

I will make sure I do not get upset

Because you don't deserve any respect

I will fight you tooth and nail

With all the energy I can muster

Go away and be gone like like a witches spell finally broken

I will not let you into my life or none of my friends either

You have no home and you are not going to hide in some dark corner

Waiting for your prey to enter

I will tell you now and this will be for the last time

I will give you one last shove and now you are out of my life forever

Joy 56 Still trying and one step closer.Hope all is well.Thank you and have a good day.I will feel your energy and use it to be better soon.Nellieanna I love your humor and help.Thank you for all your positive vibes.I spend all my time thinking of good health and do everything neccesary to follow everyday care to stay fit and healthy.Sometimes we are still learning new lessons about life different than we might expect.Work unfortunately wants the job done and no excuses.I don't agree the way it is but I am not in a position to change it either. You have to kind of take it on the chin. Thanks for making me feel better already.

I understand. I resist getting sick like the plague - lol - forgive the pun. But truly, usually good health habits and an attitude of being healthy is like magic. So when one gets sick anyway - it's almost like a personal affront! I can't imagine not giving sick days, though. When people go to work sick, it can spread it around and that's not saving anything.

I'm betting you'll be up and at'm soon Dream ON! But since you were down with it, be sure you really are well - relapses are not good.

      Hugs.

Nellieanna I am a very healthy person and this sore throat was unexpected. For me it is a first.I usually shake anything I get in day.I wait till my day off and get extra rest to shake my cold. This has lasted 4 days and I am trying many different approaches to curing it.I love all your ideas and great suggestions.I will keep you informed of my progress. In my job we don't have sick days.So over the years I convinced myself I don't get sick.In my whole 27 years of work I have only missed 3 days off from work due to being sick. One time I couldn't lift my head off my pillow and another time I couldn't lift my head up do to a muscle pull in my neck.So I am more mad at myself for letting my body accept being sick.

Dream On - those are good treatments. I wish I could give you some of the wild herb that grows on my ranch. Horehound. Steaming some of its leaves and breathing the steam (under a towel-tent) would have you well in no time. In fact, if done at the first glimmer of a cold or sore throat, one doesn't even get those bad visitors!

You might even be able to get some from a herb mart. If not - just breathing steam is good too. I used to "paint my throat" with merthiolate at the first sign of sore throat. But then they outlawed it due to its mercury content. Nevermind that antibiotics and jillions of prescription drugs have horrid side-effects and risks. Something one could get OTC for very little money which did the job - outlawed. I stocked up on it before all the shelves were cleared but have just about run dry. My Dad used "thantis lozenges' - which were actually merthiolate-laced sweet lozenges in small flat discs about the size of a dime, which one could allow to dissolve in the mouth and trickle over a sore throat. They were very effective. But those were outlawed too & may have been a little more dangerous, since they did go into the esophagus & digestive system. One only used one lozenge well spread out during a period of time, however. Not a lethal dose in the least!

They have something now they call 'merthiolate' but it's not the real thing. It's no more than mercurochrome used to be. It's hardly worth using for trivial scrapes & has no beneficial effects on a sore throat.

Anyway - you might try making your beverage a hot toddy - using fresh lemon juice & honey dissolved in warm water and then add a dollop of straight Kentucky bourbon - or some other good strong liquor. It will cut the phlegm, soothe the throat and make you feel a lot better while your throat gets well! (not too much or often, though! hehe)
