IJMB

IJMB IN HISTORY

IJMB was formed by the Interim Common Services Agency (ICSA) in 1976 under statute 5 of the Ahmadu Bello University Law (ABU Law), to run the Interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination (IJMBE) as an alternative Advanced level Examination to student or candidate who may wish to seek for under graduate admission into the university and other northern states University.


IJMB TODAY

The IJMB programme today has now become a popularly accepted programme for admission into 200 level in Nigerian universities. The influence of the programme is all over the nation and top universities in Nigeria now welcome the certificate for direct-entry admission into 200 level ( two hundred level).

IJMB ACCEPTABILTY

In the later part of 1079, the Nigerian university Council (NUC) approves IJMB as an advanced level programme for undergraduate admission in Nigeria. This has led to the massive increase of numbers of institutions that have now partnered with the IJMBE governing body, Zaria

BEFORE IJMB, WHAT WAS IN PLACE?

Before the establishment of IJMB and similar programmes in Nigeria, admission process has only being through JAMB UTME ( Universal Tertiary Matriculation Examination). However, the introduction of IJMB ends the monopoly of admission processes through JAMB UTME. Now candidates can enroll for IJMB and cross to 200 level in their desired universities through IJMBE.

WHERE TO REGISTER FOR IJMB

This is one important step any prospective IJMB candidate must know. Base on the growing popularity of the IJMB programme, there are a whole lot of people online and offline that register or clam to register candidate for IJMB.
