Introvert or Extrovert

Updated on February 1, 2012

Are you an introvert or an extrovert person? This popped into my head as I was reading this article in the Time magazine. The article was talking about the positive points being an introvert. I took the little exam that they had available withing the article and I found out that I have more of an introvert personality than I thought I did.
An introvert person keeps to themselves most of the time. They don't really like to social engagements. They don't always like to draw attention to themselves and they are able to think situations through so they can make the smart decisions. One thing that introverts do well is be a good listener to those around them. This is good because this may make them a good leader. They are also able to focus and sit at their desks or wherever they may be sitting at that moment, this helps them come up with a nice idea.
Extroverts like to make themselves noticeable and are more outspoken. They like to get most of the attention and like to go to social events and just mingle with people. Most of them are outgoing and friendly and will easily get along with most of the people that they meet. This is the trait that most parents would like their children to have because they are known to have the best jobs and have the most out of life.
There is nothing wrong with having an introvert personality because we are all different from each other. Some of us are more quiet than loud. Some of us don't like to go to parties or social engagements while others like to go and just enjoy being the life of the party. Then there are those who are a little bit of both.
When we all think about it, how many little personal exams have you taken to figure out if you are an introvert or an extrovert? Are you an introvert or an extrovert? What traits make you either an introvert or an extrovert?

An introvert for sure for all the reasons listed above; I have always been a quiet listener, never comfortable in social settings, and on and on and on. Great hub; keep them coming.
