Beautiful and Easy

Iris are one of those great flowers that can virtually take care of themselves.   They handle neglect well if you can’t get to them all the time.  They need water but not very often and survive rather well with very little extra water.   They provide beautiful flowers and nice green leaves for most of the rest of the year.

Iris are wonderful cut flowers.   They come in multiple varieties and provide splashes of color in almost any corner.  They do need a fair amount of sun to produce good flowers and are not a good shade flower.   They make wonderful bouquets that can last a couple of weeks on the kitchen table.   They make great gifts to people that are shut in or just need a reminder that they are special.

I hope you enjoy this sample of their beautiful colors and combinations.   They are well worth finding a little spot for in your yard or garden.  These were my mothers and she used them to bring joy to many of the people she knew.
