It's Time to Make The Change!

Updated on June 28, 2010

Oh yes I'm still d-m mad and you should be too.  Yet why did we all sit back in our comfortable everyday life's and wait for the greed of it all to wash up on our shores and destroy lives of our fishing and wildlife.  (The Greed of it All

In case you haven't noticed everyday prices are sky-rocketing beyond reach for many.  The supermarkets and all other commodities that are sucked into the oil marketing should and will bring us to our knees unless we change our ways.

Yes, change is very hard.  I hear it every day, "Oh I can't do without this or that,"  tell that to the man or woman that have lost their jobs, house and now their unemployment is no longer there.   Where do they go and how do they feed their children.  Oh yes, I forgot---FOOD STAMPS.  Maybe it would do some of our politicians good to try that gauntlet.

In my 78 years I have seen many changes.  I was born in an old adobe shack with no floor---my mother swept the dirt → that direction one day and the next day it would be swept ← in that direction.  My parents milked cows to earn enough to put food in our mouths---beans and cornbread.  No! there were no FOOD STAMPS, it was simple, if you didn't have it---you did without.  (We want it all)

A place & a time to be born.
A place & a time to be born.

Oh yes as time went on I admit that I too have been guilty of reaching out and biting off more that I could chew and each time I got smacked right back to---reality. Take a moment and think back before you had that big home with all the extra amities, maybe two new cars sitting out in the driveway because that fancy automatic garage door would not work. Oh I know I worked hard for all of these things that I thought I wanted and needed.

Then WHAM! for the greed of it all, just maybe reality was able to step in and you learned a lesson that your parents and grandparents knew because they didn't expect or get someone else to give it to them.

I constantly hear people say "when are THEY going to do something about this," Dugh!!! who are they referring to the tooth fairy or the government? For all they have to do is look in the mirror and that person staring back is---THEY.

Every structure in life was obtained by constant change from land to sea and man came along with IMAGINATION=INVENTION and that created through hard work = JOBS.

Now is the time to bring back our jobs and with that said a cleaner environment.will follow the change. My old eyes have seen a lot from that dirt floor to now seeing houses with solar power windows that would be the norm. I can see those two cars in the garage to be plugged into a recharger to run 100 miles or more on a single charge.

Oh yes, I hear you saying---"well I'm not giving up my car," I too love my old red-pickup truck but if it would help create jobs and help clear our environment I can step up to the plate and---CHANGE---HOW ABOUT YOU?

IF YOU'D LIKE TO KNOW MORE!  Go to the hubber jerilee Wei (my talented daughter) for she has the knowledge and education that I fall short on with my out spoken words of the journey from that dirt floor.

I do find the situations that we are in to be somewhat concerning. However, I refuse to let myself to get too angry. I have never benefitted much from anger, and I like to be happy and enjoy myself.

G-Ma thanks, I still have that big garden and share it with those that have not. We all need to make this change and go GREEN because like you said---Mother Nature is suffering.

There used to gardens called "Victory Gardens" and I couldn't agree with you more, but until one goes "without" one doesn't realize what it truly is like. We have lived High off the Hog now for years and sooner or later we will learn...Mother Nature is suffering and it because of the way we treat her...God Bless Everyone...:O) Hugs G-Ma
