Harvard university is one of the America's oldest university and was established in 1636. It is name after its first benefactor John Harvard of Charlestown. He died in 1638 at a very young age and left his estate and library to the institution. Harvard is made up of 11 different academic units and also include Radcliffe institute for advance studies. It also have 10 units of faculties which oversee various schools and give away academic degrees.

Princeton University was established in 1746 in Elizabeth. However at the time of its establishment, it was known as college of New Jersey and it continues to be named by this name for 150 years. In 1756 in moved to Princeton and was based in Nassau hall which contained it for nearly 50 years. In 1896, it started to offer more course and attained the status status of university. At the same time its names was also changed to its present name of Princeton university in honor of its host community. In 1996-97, its celebrated its 250th birthday.

Princeton University has more than 1150 full and part time faculty members. It has more than 7700 undergraduate and graduate student enrolled in 2011. It has more than 11 libraries which more than 13 million volumes.

Yale was founded in 1701 in Saybrook and was named as Collegiate School. Its motto was was to educate young students for both church and civil government. It was renamed in 1718 as Yale college in honor of Welsh businessman Elihu Yale who donates a large amount of money as well as books.
