My Teacher, My Hero - How they keep on educating humanity
Happy World Teachers's Day!!! - featuring Elementary Teachers
The greeting resonates around the four direction of the Earth as we pay tribute to the teachers of our Alma Mater.
They're parents, too, but in school they serve as second parents to the kids who trust them to help inculcate in their minds the value of education.
This year, right from my location at Don Galo elementary school, Parañaque City, Metro Manila, Philippines, I collated some of the video clippings and photos of the event where elementary teachers, parents and pupils took part as a momentous recognition of their efforts that are influential in building this world.

Happy Teachers' Day, my mentors!
I will never forget how my elementary teachers patiently taught me and my classmates about everything we should know about our main subjects (English, Arithmetic or Mathematics, Science, Filipino, Social Studies) plus GMRC (Good Manners and Right Conduct).
GMRC took me a more serious and studious kid as I absorbed all the teachings of my Grade 1 teacher.
She corrected me when I volunteered to pass the teacher's stick by handling it personally , not by just throwing for her to catch it, just like my father did to me at home.
From then on, I began contemplating and comparing on the norms or attitude we used to observe at home and the teachings of my primary teacher.
I was spanked by that 'ROD' several times If I was forgetting my manners.
With that kind of punishment, I am so thankful with primary teachers because they helped my parents honed me to be a responsible individual who cares for truth and honesty.
Whatever mistakes I incurred in my four decades of existence, I will always hear the warnings at the back of my head.
Because of my teachers, I was able to travel the world by allowing me to borrow all the books I can find at the book shelves of the classroom.
I digested all of it at my young age. I had an infectious energy which I passed on to my classmates as our batch learned how to read, write, draw, sing, declaim and value the importance of teaching in school.
With a special privilege given to me by my teachers, I was able to share my learned and gained ideas and knowledge with them.
Who can ever forget those who belonged to the Row Four? As if, it's the seat where they were judge as the most slow learner among our batch.
I detest favoritism during my intermediate years as my teacher began favoring my friend, who's just second to me in terms of academic performances plus extra-curricular activities.
The interference of my father brought him back to senses.
When I graduated from elementary with the highest honors, I still thanked my Grade VI teacher for challenging me to strive more.
When we said goodbye to our Alma mater, I promised that I'll do my best to live up with their expectations.
