New Things to Expect In School

Updated on September 5, 2011

The new school year is just right around the corner and what better way to prepare yourself but to open your mind up to new and endless possibilities. Now that you will be a in new grade level, what are some of the things you have to expect and how do you think can you cope up with the new challenges you will find? There’s no need for you to worry because when things start to feel like they are becoming difficult to bear, your parents will certainly be there to help and guide you through it all.

So what exactly are the new things you need to expect in school? You will most likely have new classmates. Some may be your friends, while others may not really be familiar to you. It is important to make friends and be at peace with everyone in your class. Remember that you will be learning with each other for a straight ten months. If you have some classmates that you cannot really get along with well, then there’s no need to fret. Just mind yourself and do your thing and you wouldn’t experience any problems at all.

Of course, since you will be in a higher level, you will most likely have more tasks and assignments that you have to finish and submit on time. Therefore it is important that you know how to budget your time wisely. You can still engage in some extra curricular activities but bear in mind that your actual focus is going back to school and making sure that you are getting high grades too.

Speaking of extra curricular activities, if this is your first time to try out for a team or a club to join, then by all means, go for it and see just how much fun you can have. But if you think that it would take a toll on your studies primarily because it would require too much of your time, then you might also want to postpone joining a team, and simply focus on your schooling first.

Another thing you can expect this incoming school year are your new teachers. If you have been lucky in the past to get the best and kindest, most considerate teachers, prepare yourself that this may not necessarily be what you will get this year. If you find the best teachers, then you are lucky once again, but if not, just do your best, don’t be absent, and submit your requirements and assignments on time.

Thanks! I planned to be a teacher way back in college but I was directed in a different path. But doesn't mean that I'll stop from there. I know I can help kids in my own little way.
